Mike Heslin was a 35-year-old actor who sadly passed away on the afternoon of July 2, 2024, in Las Vegas. While he had appeared in a wide range of TV shows, Heslin ventured into series creation in 2020 as he partnered with his romantic partner Scotty Dynamo to create the mockumentary The Influencers. After that, he went on to appear in side roles in In Their Shoes: A Journey Into Homelessness, Lioness, and The Holiday Proposal Plan.

Heslin's first prominent project in 2020 was that of Boy*Friends, a 30-minute pilot, which he co-produced and also acted in. Not much is known about where it is available today. The five-year-old comedy pilot starring Mike Heslin was released on September 29, 2025.

• The Influencers

Released on Prime Video, The Influencers is a mockumentary that was created by both Scotty Dynamo and Heslin. Based on the description, it seems that the five-episode series follows six influencers who aim to win an exclusive brand deal. The official synopsis for the series reads:

"Six social media influencers compete for an exclusive brand deal with the latest millennial juice craze: Jücytox. As cameras capture each influencer IRL, the manicured versions they present to the world online begin to not just crumble, but implode before our eyes."

• Lioness Season 1

Lioness Season 1 could be Mike's biggest acting project to date, as it stars high-profile actors like Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, and Morgan Freeman. Heslin played a side character called Polo in two episodes of the season. For now, it remains unknown if Polo will return in the third season or not, and who will play him. The Taylor Sheridan series follows:

"Follows the life of Joe (Zoe Saldaña) while she attempts to balance her personal and professional life as the tip of the CIA's spear in the war on terror. • The Holiday Proposal Plan

Heslin was a well-known actor in Lifetime's Christmas movies, and the most recent one was The Holiday Proposal Plan, which was released on December 16, 2025. The late actor plays a side character named Jonathan Ferris in the Christmas movie that follows two exes who begrudgingly collaborate to help their respective friends get engaged.

"Travel columnist Sonny Kravitz (Tatyana Ali) and her ex-boyfriend Kip (Jesse Kove) are forced to team up to help their best friends Bree (Whitney Able) and Jarod (Geovanni Gopradi) get engaged. To set the backdrop, the four return to Sonny’s parents’ snowy chalet and set up twelve holiday traditions that are celebrated around the world to nudge Jarod to ask Bree to be his wife.
