In episode 10 of season 2, Rebecca Welton is at her father's funeral and, struggling to find the right words for the eulogy, she begins to sing Rick Astley's 1987 hit "Never Gonna Give You Up." Her voice falters as emotion overtakes her, but Ted Lasso, the show's protagonist, steps in to continue the song, and soon the entire congregation joins in, creating a heartwarming and unexpected moment of unity and support. Even the singer himself appreciated the scene for the warmth it depicts, per reports.

Sudeikis recalls how Brenden (co-creator) came up with this idea behind the scenes.

"Especially the call and response, never gonna give, never going to give, which was Brendan's idea. He was like, 'What if we did this?' I was like, yeah, heck yeah and then we did it."

He further added how the unison turned out to be amazing. He also appreciated how Hannah's character reacted in the whole scene.

"The room and the space, it just you know sounded amazing, and just the look on her face was really special. I am glad that we filed it. "

Brett Goldstein also shared his favorite moment in the video report by E! News, and it is from season 1, which features a karaoke singing scene. Each of the characters is getting to experience something in the moment. Sam and Hannah sing during the night while Jason's character is going through a panic attack. Nick Mohammad is getting drunk, and Keely is falling in love.

"That was a great moment to be a part of," according to Goldstein
