“Incredibly gregarious”: Nobody Wants This star Adam Brody reveals Seth Rogen and Kate Berlant’s unscripted chaos made Season 2 funnier

Noah and Joanne returned in Nobody Wants This Season 2, and now the couple has to experience life after their new love fades. As seen in the first chapter of this hit Netflix series, Joanne refused to convert to Judaism while Noah finally got his dream job as the head rabbi.

In Season 2, viewers get to see what happens when an agnostic s*x podcaster and a devout rabbi try to build a strong love relationship despite having completely different spiritual beliefs. What ties them together is love, and it has now been put to the test.

While the new chapter brings Adam Brody and Kristen Bell back in their main roles, it also introduces viewers to some new faces. And among them are Seth Rogen (The Studio) and Kate Berlant (Would It Kill You To Laugh?) as the guest stars.

The stars were quite entertaining on the sets, especially Rogen, who appears opposite the rabbi. Brody praised Rogen, saying, he's "so very funny and talented.". The actor continued:

"He's incredibly gregarious, and he's identifiably Jewish, which is important. Listen, he'd be great to have in any way, shape or form."

Nobody Wants This Season 2 remains a top show among fans who enjoyed Noah and Joanne's story in the first chapter. This new chapter brings fresh challenges and faces in the couple's life, and as mentioned before, Seth Rogen and Kate Berlant are two of the guest stars.

Adam Brody also explained in the same interview that Rogen's character in Season 2 is "rock and roll rabbi to Noah's more buttoned-up one," and he just slayed the role. However, what's even funnier is that he and Berlant didn't hesitate to go off-script while filming. Brody revealed:

"He [Seth Rogen] and Kate Berlant, who I'm also a huge fan of, just went way off-script, and I just got to buckle up and hang on, and yeah, that was a dynamic."

The duo isn't just talented, but they also made the filming process fun and meaningful for the entire team. While Rogen appears as Neil, Berlant can be seen playing his wife, Rabbi Cami.

Brody also said:

"Fortunately, that was the dynamic on the page too, in those scenes, Noah's more of a bystander."

Brody star highlighted Berlant and Rogen's chemistry in Nobody Wants This Season 2 as they shared the same energy and enthusiasm.

Seth Rogen and Kate Berlant appear as the Rabbi couple in episode 7, "When You Know, You Know" of Nobody Wants This Season 2. In the episode, Noah gets the opportunity to work at Temple Ahava, where he meets the quirky couple, Cami and Neil.

Noah is surprised to see their casual approach to religion, and their temple even has a special corner dedicated to filmmaker Steven Spielberg. The difference in their approaches leads to engaging clashes between the characters.
