Jeremy Renner reveals that Mayor of Kingstown will end with a Season 5
After impressing the audience with his stoic but daring character in the Avengers films, Renner introduced a new side of himself with his portrayal of Mike McLusky in Mayor of Kingstown. Therefore, it will be difficult for the viewers to say goodbye to his character. However, he promised that, with Season 5, the Mayor of Kingstown is ready to give a good ending to the show.
As reported by Popverse, he said:
"I just did my second season we just finished since the incident, and I think I’m signing it off to finish it off in two more. We found a cool end, I’m not going to tell you, but we found a really cool end, I think, to the show."
The incident he is referring to is the snowplowing accident that he was part of in 2023. It took him several months to recover before he returned to shoot for the crime thriller series. He also talked about how it was good being back on the set after the accident and said:
"It was great to get back, and it creates a lot of jobs, and it’s good for me to have an assemblance of any sort of normalcy in my life. That was encouraging for my mental health. I’m glad I’m back."
Mayor of Kingstown comes from the creator duo, Hugh Dillon, who also stars in the show, and Taylor Sheridan, the man behind the critically acclaimed western TV series, Yellowstone. The Kevin Costner-starring show also ended with five seasons. Therefore, the Mayor of Kingstown might be taking the same path and end with Season 5.
