Vince Gilligan's latest show, Pluribus, is going popular, and somebody thought, 'why not leverage it and spread some lies about it?' (Something that is against the hive mind) So, in an X (formerly Twitter) post, the user simply added the text that says the show "has been cancelled by Apple TV+ after 1 season." That's all, and it went viral. You can see the misleading post below:

If you have come across this post too, know that there is no official word on the show's cancellation. In fact, it has become more interesting by the episode, and perhaps there is a potential for the second season. All in all, Vince Gilligan show will have nine episodes in the season, and we are down six already. Just three remain, which will be dropped within the next three weeks.

The show is about a phenomenon where a virus has caused the global population to become a part of a hive mind, which basically makes them one human, or organism, if you want to put it like that, except for 13 individuals.

Among these individuals is the show's protagonist, Carol Sturka, played by Rhea Seehorn, who is trying to find a cure to this situation. Throughout her quest, she has made many discoveries to understand the hive mind, including the fact that none of the people afflicted with the virus can lie.

What happens in the latest episode of Pluribus?

With the new episode, Carol found some unnerving truth about the hive mind in Pluribus. We saw that she was shocked to see something under a tarp as episode five ended. Episode six showed that they were human parts vacuum-sealed in packs.

Initially, it felt like this hive mind isn't actually 'good' as it has pretended. However, the reason for this is revealed when Carol travels to Las Vegas to meet Diabaté (Samba Schutte), who is living a lavish life since 'the Joining.' And this is explained by none other than John Cena, who greets Carol in style by saying:

"Hello Carol, we are John Cena."

Sad that we didn't get to hear The Time is Now, but you bet that you can see him. He tells her that they cannot kill any life form, which also means all the plants and everything people consume. Though they will pick a fruit and eat it if it falls on the ground.

Will there be another season of Pluribus?

Only three episodes remain of the show, and the way things are happening in the story, it is unlikely that everything will be revealed. So, we can hope that episode nine will not be the grand finale here.

But there is no official word on season two of Pluribus either, so we can only know when the final episode arrives, which is on December 26, 2025. If we see a cliffhanger, then we know there will be another one. Following the release, it was watched for 6.4 million hours in just a week, making it the biggest Apple TV drama series launch.
