Is that White Dragon in Peacemaker Season 2 sizzle reel? Speculations explored

Peacemaker Season 2 made a splash on June 01, 2025, at CCXP Mexico. A sizzle reel consisting of behind-the-scenes moments during the filming of the second season was released at the panel. This footage was also released later online on the official DC YouTube Channel. This footage provided glimpses of new scenes from the season.

However, one particular action scene had fans surprised because it features the return of the White Dragon, a character we saw dying in Season 1. We already know that Robert Patrick, who played Auggie Smith/White Dragon, is reprising the role in Peacemaker Season 2. Here's the catch, though: theer in the scene here is wearing a blue and white version of the suit, while Season 1 featured a red and white one.

Who is Peacemaker Season 2's new White Dragon?

The first season of Peacemaker introduced us to the White Dragon, the racist Neo-N*zi supervillain and the father of the protagonist played by John Cena. However, it is important to note that Christopher Smith/Peacemaker killed his father in the seventh episode, "Stop Dragon My Heart Around." However, the finale also confirms that despite dying, Chris hallucinates Auggie, setting the stage for his return in Peacemaker Season 2.

So, it is possible that Robert Patrick, who is returning as an imaginary Auggie, might be the one in the blue and white suit. However, there is another possibility: it might be Christopher's brother, Keith Smith. This might be Keith from an alternate universe. We already know that Peacemaker Season 2 might be dabbling in the multiverse.

The pocket dimension from Season 1 might be connected to the multiverse:

Peacemaker Season 1 introduced a pocket dimension in Auggie's home. He uses it as a storage unit for his White Dragon costume and Peacemaker's weapons. While it appeared very little in the first season, this unique storage unit is playing a larger role in Peacemaker Season 2. This was confirmed by James Gunn himself in the May 26, 2025, Entertainment Weekly interview.

Calling the pocket dimension the Quantum Unfolding Chamber (QUC), James Gunn said:

"You've seen what we call the QUC, the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, in the first season of Peacemaker, and we see more about that technology in Superman. The QUC is the center of the story in Peacemaker season 2... We see a lot of different characters from Superman in the [season], [including] Isabela and Nathan and Sean, and then we see a bunch of other characters later on in the season from other parts of the DCU and from Superman. There might even be one really, really, really big cameo near the end of the show."

The closing minutes of Peacemaker Season 2 show John Cena's Christopher Smith enter the room of his multiversal counterpart, where he is greeted by the occupant, himself. Thus, the character in this new White Dragon might be Chris's brother, but from an alternate universe.

"The new season follows Christopher “Chris” Smith, aka Peacemaker, the vigilante Super Hero as he struggles to reconcile his past with his newfound sense of purpose while continuing to kick righteous evil-doer butt in his misguided quest for peace at any cost"
