Dancing With The Stars Whitney Leavitt opened up about her elimination from the dance show in her recent Call Her Daddy podcast appearance on November 27, 2025.

She attended the podcast along with her pro dance partner from DWTS, Mark Ballas. The host, Alex, asked the two to share their elimination from the show, among other things.

Whitney reflected on the week of their elimination and shared about the specific night. She mentioned feeling off, even though their dance was prepared. She even said that the particular dance was her favorite performance.

"I felt like our dances were solid. Like, that me and these wlats that we did like that, was one of my favorite dances that we've done. Like, I was so excited to perform that dance. It was just...it just felt off. Like, something just didn't feel like the other Tuesdays that we had had. Like, it just felt off for me," shared Whitney Leavitt.

Dancing With The Stars: Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas recall their elimination, online hate, their last performance, and more

Dancing With The Stars Whitney and her pro dance partner Mark Ballas, reflected on their final dance performance on Call Her Daddy podcast. While Mark tried to motivate her, she still felt that something was off about that performance.

With lots of practice and rehearsals, Whitney noted that it was one of her favorite dance routines with Mark. But, she shared that Tuesday didn't feel like a regular day, and something felt "off."

Sharing more about the day and their final performance, Mark noted:

"One thing I'll tell you is like, I'm an over rehearser. I like to rehearse to the point where it's just so ingrained in your body. I hate leaving things to chance. Might be old school, but that's how I was raised when I was dancing. It's just you rehearse it, rehearse, rehearse it...so you don't have to think."

Mark talked about how emotional Whitney seemed that night in between their two performances. Seeing her, he had to go into the "football coach mode" and told her to get it together.

"Because I was starting to get worried that she's going to go out and black out, you know," added Mark.

The host recalled that at the time, the latest season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives had just been released. There was a lot of backlash that Whitney received. Hence, she must be going through the negative comments from the same.

Recalling that, Whitney shared that while they were backstage rehearsing, she had a feeling. It felt as if that was going to be their last dance. That's why she was emotional.

For the fans who might not remember, during the week of their elimination, Whitney and Mark scored a total of 58 out of 60. However, based on the viewers' votes, the two were eliminated from Dancing With The Stars. The two had one of the highest scores of that episode.

When asked the reason behind not getting enough votes from the viewers, Dancing With The Stars' Whitney speculated that it might be because of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives:

"If I was speculating, I would say, Yeah, maybe Secret Lives. Because it was such a huge divide. Like, you either really loved me for that or you really hated me for that. So, maybe it swayed some people. Like, I don't know," shared Whitney.

Further in the podcast, Mark talked about participants facing backlash online and more.
