Considering Brittany Snow’s comments, it is safe to say that The Hunting Wives Season 2 will begin filming by mid-November 2025. This is good news for fans, as the show is right on track. If the production is completed in the next few months, the season might be ready to premiere by the end of 2026 or by early 2027.

The first season was shot between March and June 2024 and premiered a year later in July 2025. Based on May Cobb’s novel of the same name, the series tells the story of Sophie O'Neil, who moves to the fictional town of Maple Brook after a tragedy ruins her life in her hometown.

She then gets obsessed with Margo, the wife of her husband's boss, and the two begin a steamy affair. However, Sophie remains unaware that she is actually being manipulated and is getting trapped in a wider conspiracy.

The Hunting Wives received a phenomenal response from the audience upon its release and became the most-watched show across streaming platforms in the US in the week of July 25 to 31, 2025. The season ended with a cliffhanger, which left the audience asking for more, and the show was eventually renewed for a second season.

As per an official synopsis by Netflix, Sophie and Margo have moved away from each other in Season 2, but their past soon returns to haunt them, which brings them back together. The logline reads:

“Sophie and Margo (Akerman) are on the outs. But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together. As they play their dangerous games, the question arises: Are they the hunters or the hunted?”

Apart from Brittany Snow, The Hunting Wives stars Malin Akerman as Margo Banks, Dermot Mulroney as Jed Banks, Jaime Ray Newman as Callie, Evan Jonigkeit as Graham O'Neil, and George Ferrier as Brad. Other main cast members, Katie Lowes and Chrissy Metz, might not return for the second season, as their characters, Jill and Starr, died in the previous season.

The Hunting Wives is streaming on Netflix.
