Dancing With The Stars' Robert Irwin appeared on The Viall Files: Going Deeper edition on October 15, 2025.
During his podcast appearance, along with his dance partner and choreographer Witney Carson, Robert opened up about various things. He talked about being on Dancing With The Stars, sharing a message behind everything he does, and more.
When asked about being in front of a live audience, Robert Irwin talked about the competition, and his first performance on DWTS went. He noted that the competition is insane.
"It's insane. The feeling in the ballroom when you step in there and you know that you're next up in the roster. Like, our first night, we were last, so it was kind of scary watching everyone else go. The competition is insane. Like, this season, everybody is incredible, and you're just sitting there watching it and then going, Oh my God! I got to last. This is...this is terrifying," shared Robert Irwin.
Dancing With The Stars Season 34: Robert Irwin shares his thoughts on being in front of the live audience, and more
In his recent The Viall Files podcast appearance, Robert was asked about being in the dance competition. The co-host asked him about being the host, being in front of the cameras, and how different it was from facing a live audience on stage.
Dancing With The Stars' Robert Irwin noted that it was insane. He recalled his first performance of the show. He and Witney were the last pair to go up on the stage. While they waited for their turn, Robert witnessed the rest of the dancing performances.
He said that the competition was insane as everybody was incredible. However, Robert felt that when the music started playing:
"But I found the second the music started playing, you know, you hear those counts, dancing to Jive. It's Robert and Witney. And then all of a sudden, you just kind of got tunnel vision. You hear the audience, you feel the energy, and it's amazing."
Dancing With The Stars' Robert added that he had spent his life on camera. He recalled his birth while his mom was filming for the Crocodile Hunter. He shared that the crew was in the hospital at the time of his birth.
Robert noted that everything he did and does has a message and a mission behind it. He shared that the second he was in the ballroom and heard the crows, his nerves turned into adrenaline, joy, and excitement.
He noted that he wanted to share something that everyone could "switch off" and have fun.
