Love Is Blind: France Reunion featured engaged couples and singles who participated in the social experiment. One of the couples was Charles and Julie.

When the show hosts asked the two to share their relationship update, Julie revealed that they were no longer together. Further, she shared more about what happened between her and Charles that resulted in their split.

Love Is Blind: France star Julie mentioned Charles asking her to leave, a month after their wedding. After her, Charles shared his side of wanting mental and physical space.

"After the wedding, it's true that I needed some air, to regain some mental and physical space. I told Julie that. But I know that for Julie, in our relationship, it was a step backwards. I understand that, but for me, at the time, it didn't mean breaking up. I just needed to find myself again a little," said Charles.

At the Love Is Blind: France Reunion, all the couples shared their latest relationship update. Those who got engaged and then married also opened up about their time together.

One of the couples featured at the reunion was Charles and Julie. After the show hosts asked how Julie's time as a new bride went by, she shared:

"So, after the wedding, I moved in with him. Madage goes to her husband's. He gave me the keys to his place and made room in the cupboards. For a young couple, I'd say that was normal. It was temporary."

She added:

"We knew it was just until we found a flat together. But that's why what happened after is so incoherent. Because after a month, he asked me to leave."

Julie recalled Charles telling her that he needed "space" and "air." He also told her that they would see each other "from time to time." However, that was not Julie's idea of being a husband and wife after a marriage.

"He wanted us to see each other from time to time. To me, that's absurd when you're married. So it broke my heart. And with hindsight, I realized that it was the beginning of the physical break-up phase," said Julie.

Soon, Love Is Blind: France Charles also opened up about the same. He noted that he wanted "some air" to get some mental and physical space. He also knew that doing so would be a step backwards in their relationship.

However, at the time, he didn't mean it as a "breaking-up" action from himself. Charles said that he needed to "find himself" again.

Listening to Charles, Love Is Blind: France star Julie mentioned she wanted to add something. She added that as a married couple, people "build" things together. That was not to be done by "kicking" your partner.

Even though what Charles asked her to do "broke" her, she went ahead with it. She added that behind that was Charles' "lack of commitment." She also noted that four days after their wedding, he "wrote to a woman."
