The third episode is titled "Now You See It" and it will be released on November 9, at 9 PM ET only on HBO and on HBO Max the same night.

So yeah, your next trip to Derry, Maine, is officially all booked. The show has, in no time, turned into every horror fan's weekend thrill ride, and this new episode promises to look even deeper into Derry's sinister past.

IT: Welcome to Derry Episode 3 release date

Derry never sleeps. The third episode of IT: Welcome to Derry is all set to release on November 9, keeping the weekend night scare schedule right on track. Just like the previous two episodes, it will air on HBO at 9 PM ET before releasing on HBO Max the same night.

The show will have a run for 3 seasons (depending on the cycles of Pennywise), and the first season will contain 8 episodes, with the finale set to air on December 14. This means that Pennywise isn't packing up his red balloons and will be staying with us halfway through the season of Advent.

The show has been directed by Andy Muschietti, the same director behind the IT movies done in 2017 and 2019, and with that being said, episode 3 of IT: Welcome to Derry will most likely explore how the fear in Derry spreads like a curse.

Stream, scream, repeat: How to watch IT: Welcome to Derry

For those of you who are brave enough to float through the town of Derry, IT: Welcome to Derry streams exclusively on HBO every Sunday at 9 PM ET. The platforms feel like an apt place to narrate the backstory of Bob Gray, aka Pennywise, which makes the show this terrifying.

The prequel, set in the streets of Derry, Maine, during the 1960s, looks at the never-before-told origins of Bob Gray/Pennywise/IT. The show follows a new set of characters, and events start to unfold after a local boy disappears, as seen in episode 1.

As Andy Muschietti told Esquire,

“One of the great things about the book is no one ever gets to know the truth about it — and that's where our curiosity goes.”

He also added that the mystery will be the core element of this story which helps in keeping the fans and the characters guessing at what lurks behind every red floating balloon.

Meet the faces behind Derry’s nightmares

What's a trip to Derry without an iconic cast? Now, while IT: Welcome to Derry might not have our beloved Losers Club, we still get to have Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise the Dancing Clown.

What's even more interesting is how we will actually be seeing Bob Gray on our screens this time around and not just in the way of how IT: Chapter 2 alluded to him.

Skarsgård is joined by Jovan Adepo, Taylor Paige, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Rudy Mancuso, Stephen Rider, and Madeleine Stowe.

The show will be exploring how Pennywise manipulates people's deepest fears years before the Losers Club even faced him.

Plus, for fans of Stephen King's other works, Muschietti has even mentioned a few secret nods to other stories of King, like The Shining!

Every frame is floats with dread, and Episode 3 ups the scares and scales even further with scenes that will have you clutching your pillow.

As IT: Welcome to Derry continues its wicked run, Episode 3 will peel back some more horror that lies under Derry's past. With its November 9 release, fans can expect more of the haunting atmosphere and a prequel that seems impossible to look away from.

So, grab your popcorn bucket, dim the lights, and remember that in Derry, everything floats eventually.
