Hospital Playlist and Prison Playbook fame Jang Kyung-ho is gearing up for his upcoming MBC supernatural comedy K-drama Oh My Ghost Clients.
Known for playing serious and professional characters, Kyung-ho will try his hand at a supernatural comedy, where he will play the role of a labor attorney, Noo Moo-jin.
After a near-death experience, Moo-jin will develop the ability to see ghosts, which will take him on a journey to help them get justice by fighting their cases.
Oh My Ghost Clients will premiere on May 30, 2025, with its first batch of episodes. Along with Kyung-ho, Seol In-ah (as Na Hee-joo) and Cha Hak-yeon (as Go Gyeon-woo) will also partner up with Moo-jin and help him fight for the dead labor workers.
While the premise of the K-drama is interesting enough, the production recently revealed that Kyung-ho will be joined by his Hospital Playlist co-star and friend Kim Dae-myeung in the first episode. He will play the role of Jung Min, Moo-jin's former colleague.
More on Dae-myeung's cameo appearance in Oh My Ghost Clients in our story.
Jang Kyung-ho reunites with Hospital Playlist co-star Kim Dae-myeung
Kyung-ho is all set to reunite with his co-star Dae-myeung for his upcoming K-drama Oh My Ghost Clients.
Kyung-ho and Dae-myeung played best friends in the drama, and fans enjoyed their chemistry on-screen. They have since been friends off-screen, too.
While Kyung-ho played Kim Jun-wan, the chief of cardiothoracic surgery, Dae-Myeung played Yang Seok-hyeong, an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology.
Recently, they also appeared in a cameo role (separately) in the Hospital Playlist spin-off series Resident Playbook on Netflix.
Like a true friend, Dae-myeung will support Kyung-ho on his new K-drama Oh My Ghost Clients, and it is reported that he will appear in the first episode as Jung-min, one of Moon-jin's old colleagues.
In an interview with Soompi, the production team revealed:
“The two actors showed great chemistry without any rehearsal. Although Kim Dae Myeung’s appearance is brief, it will be a fun and memorable scene in the drama.”
Kyung-ho opens up about his new K-drama Oh My Ghost Clients
While Kyung-ho is known to play serious and professional characters in K-dramas like Hospital Playlist and Prison Playbook, MBC's new K-drama is a new role for the actor.
A labor attorney who can suddenly see ghosts after nearly surviving a freak accident, the K-drama will add a supernatural twist to the comedy-action genre. Moo-jin's new clients are not only dead, but they are angry.
Beneath the comedic layer, Oh My Ghost Clients is a deep satire on the society that mistreats its laborers. Talking to Soompi, Kyung-ho discussed how he prepared for his role:
“I met with real labor attorneys to better understand the profession. Since Moo Jin isn’t motivated by profit, I wanted to portray him with disheveled hair and a more natural look.”
It's true. Gone is the polished Jun-wan from Hospital Playlist. Kyung-ho is rocking an unkempt look with disheveled hair to portray his character's plight.
In addition to the comedy, this K-drama is also Kung-ho's first foray into the supernatural genre, and he prepared well on that front too:
“It’s my first time working with ghosts.. For the possession scenes, I studied the ghost characters’ gestures to make sure their personalities came through and to bring something new each time.”
Kyung-ho's latest K-drama will premiere on May 30, 2025.
