Jeopardy! Masters winner Yogesh Raut reveals how things unfolded after winning the game show and how his speech was cut short

In his recent Facebook post, Jeopardy! Masters champion Yogesh Raut talked about how the show cut parts of his thank you speech and things he had to say about racism. Jeopardy! fans must know Yogesh for winning the game, then the ToC, and now the Masters.

In his post, Yogesh Raut mentioned that the speech cut out everything he shared about racism, which is what he expected. Additionally, he also noted that a "good portion" of his thank-yous was also cut. He specified that there were names he mentioned during the speech, which were cut off.

"My final pair of interviews on the show cut out everything I had to say about racism (as expected) and also a good portion of my thank-you's, including many of the people I thanked by name. But as a perk of winning, I guess, they let me recite them at length here," wrote Yogesh Raut.

Further, his post mentions, his name was mispronounced by the host, Ken Jennings. So when he brought it up, it was also cut out.

Later, when he mentioned some of the backstage crew members who had always correctly pronounced his name, that part was also cut from his speech:

"They also cut out me saying, "Ken, when Neilesh was up here he made a point of thanking you for pronouncing his name correctly, and I'd love to do the same — just as soon as you start." (Also not a hugely surprising elision.)"

Yogesh mentioned several names during his speech, including those of the support staff, hair and makeup, and wardrobe staff, but their names were also cut off.

Jeopardy! Masters champion also wrote:

"On top of reiterating those I'd like to additionally thank Jimmy McGuire and Mitch the sound guy for consistently pronouncing my name correctly."

However, now that he is a champion, he took to the social media platform and seized the opportunity to thank everyone who has supported him along the way.

Yogesh Raut discussed all the competitors and how he has become closer to many of them due to their shared interests. He also mentioned in his Inside Jeopardy! interview, how families and supporters of his competitors have also supported him during the competition.
