Jun-Hee's baby might simply derail the course of Squid Game Season 3 but I'm honestly looking forward to it

Netflix's Squid Game Season 3's first teaser has everybody worried for Jun-hee and her baby.

Introduced as Player 222 in Season 2, Jun-hee is pregnant in the game. The baby cries featured in the final moments of the first chilling Season 3 teaser hint that she will give birth (while in the games) in the show's final season.

With the stakes already high, Jun-hee's baby adds a new dynamic to the game, and I think it will ultimately change the course of the game and its characters.

After Gi-hun's unsuccessful player revolt and Front Man's power, the main characters' deaths seem inevitable, but there might be hope after all.

More on Jun-hee's baby in Squid Game Season 3 in our story.

I think Jun-Hee's baby might help Squid Game Season 3 to end on a hopeful note

While Squid Game Season 3 and hope don't go hand in hand, the final moments of the first teaser have made me hopeful. While we are all rooting for Gi-hun and his allies from Season 2 to finally win and put a definite end to the games, their end seems inevitable.

With so much already happening and Jun-ho unable to find the island, the end seems near. While this would probably be a bleak ending, Jun-hee's baby might give the story a different course.

Squid Game has never shied away from breaking our hearts. From Sae-byeok and Ali in Season 1 to Jung-bae in Season 2, no character is safe, and I think almost all the main characters in Squid Game Season 3 will ultimately meet their tragic end in the finale.

However, Jun-hee's baby can change the course and cause the players to have a change of heart. The Front Man and the guards will hardly show any mercy towards the new mother and her kid, but I have some hope in the players. After the brutal player revolt in the Season 2 finale, I think the players (who even wanted to continue with the games) would understand the futility of the games.

They will likely understand that their lives are much more worthy than the prize money. But this realisation is too late, as they would not have an option to opt out and go home. With their fate already marked with death, I think all the players will sacrifice their lives for Jun-hee and her baby by making her win the game and eventually leaving the island with her baby.

While this doesn't align with the theme of humanity shown till now, I think this is the perfect poetic justice for Squid Game Season 3.

Squid Game Season 3 can make Gi-hun win even after his death

In the Season 1 finale, when Gi-hun discovers that the old man (Oh Il-nam) is the creator of the games, they both place a bet. While Il-nam believed that man would always choose money over life and nobody would ever stop to help a homeless man, Gi-hun did not.

When Gi-hun saw someone stop and help a homeless man, he decided to return to the games and put an end to it. While the bleak facet of humanity shown in Squid Game is largely true, good people exist. And after so much betrayal and heartbreak over the seasons, Squid Game Season 3 needs to reiterate that faith.

After three seasons of death, betrayal, and loss, all the players coming together and sacrificing themselves for Jun-hee and her baby would be the ultimate justice served. While Gi-hun might die in the end, he would achieve his goal and win his bet against Il-nam.

While the deaths of all the main characters would be bleak, Squid Game Season 3 can make their deaths worth something (unlike others) for Jun-hee and her baby.
