Lanterns casts young talent Cary Christopher as series guest star

Lanterns, scheduled for a 2026 release, has added a young talent to its star-studded cast. As per Deadline, HBO's upcoming series based on DC Comics' Lanterns has added the nine-year-old Daytime Emmy-nominated actor Cary Christopher as a guest star.

The upcoming series features Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan, Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, and Kelly Macdonald as Sheriff Kerry. There's also Garrett Dillahunt, Jason Ritter, Nicole Ari Parker, Poorna Jagannathan, Ulrich Thomsen, and Paul Ben-Victor in recurring roles, while Chris Coy will star as a guest.

Led by showrunner Chris Mundy, Lanterns marks the third TV series of the DC Universe. It will follow the journey of the intergalactic cops Jordan and Stewart, out to investigate a murder in Nebraska, which in turn will unravel buried secrets and mysteries. Filming kicked off in early 2025, with production led by DC Studios in collaboration with Warner Bros. Television. The series will consist of eight episodes.

Even though not many details are out about Cary Christopher's character in Lanterns, according to Deadline he is set to play Young Noah, an enthusiastic kid from a small town who loves playing football. He is polite, charming, and an all-rounder. Sharing the happy news on his official Instagram account, his post read,

"So excited about this."

Who is Cary Christopher?

Cary Christopher is a young actor who has been a part of several popular series and daily soaps. Born in Los Angeles, the nine-year-old landed a role when he was just 3. You might recognize him as Thomas DiMera from Days of Our Lives - a role he got when he was 4, and was visiting his grandparents in New Jersey.

From FOX's 9-1-1 to Fuller House, American Horror Stories, and Station 19, Cary's résumé is already packed with big assignments. Off camera, he likes to play baseball, soccer, guitar, and keyboard. Some of his recent projects include High Potential Season 1, where he played Gavin Reed in Episode 5. He's also landed a role in Prime Video's upcoming series Spider Noir, along with stalwarts like Lukas Hass and Scott MacArthur. He's also a part of the upcoming movie Weapons, which is set to hit the theatres on August 8, 2025.
