More about Law and the City

A slice-of-life drama, Law and the City will bring together five lawyers with diverse personalities and career goals as they share their lives and work, catching up and helping each other grow, both personally and professionally. The Korean series is directed by Park Seung-woo, who is also known for directing Kairos.

The cast of Law and the City has big names added to it, from Lee Jong-suk and Moon Ga-young to Yeom Hye-ran, who will be appearing in the series.

The series will also star When Life Gives You Tangerines and Resident Playbook’s Kang You-seok and shared details about the upcoming drama as reported by Soompi. He said,

"It’s a warm and everyday kind of drama. The script is so charming, and after talking with the director, I thought, ‘I really want to work with this person,’ and I wanted to act alongside the other cast members."

In an interview with Singles Magazine, Lee Jong-suk also shared insight about his character in Law and the City and compared it to his previous role in another popular drama, Big Mouth. He said,

"Although I played a lawyer in my last drama, that story didn’t really focus on the character’s job as a lawyer. In this drama, I fully act out the job of a lawyer, but there aren’t many scenes with heated courtroom arguments or rebuttals. It’s an ensemble piece that focuses more on human connections, so you can think of it as a slice-of-life drama."
