NBC's police procedural legal drama, Law & Order Season 25, was released on September 25, 2025. After a thrilling premiere that delved into the Carter Mills' murder case, Episode 2, titled "Hindsight," deals with a new case involving the murder of a fifteen-year-old student, Todd Feldman. This episode demonstrates how insecurities among teens, reckless choices, and the misuse of AI can devastate multiple lives forever. It's emotional, raw, and brutal.

Who was Todd Feldman, and what happened to him?

Todd Feldman was a fifteen-year-old student of the Northwood Academy who was found dead in a park. Todd wasn't a regular teenager; he was an introvert, and he mostly kept to himself. The only happening thing in his life was the upcoming marching band competition, where he got a chance to perform a trumpet solo.

His parents believed he was practising late into the evening, but he was found dead in a park. The detectives soon found out another story beneath the surface of the case. Todd was hiding Adderall under his mattress. A fellow student, Dylan Colavachecio, supplied the pills.

Detective Riley wasn't convinced that Todd died due to a drug deal gone wrong, so he went to talk to Dylan. When he was confronted, Dylan admitted to selling the drugs to Todd but denied any involvement in Todd's murder. However, Dylan also noted a conflict between Todd and a classmate called Nora, who wanted to perform the solo trumpet. It turns out that wasn't the reason; something else was. Todd had shared a nude image of another girl with her. The girl was Cassie Moore, a fellow student of the Academy, and this was the turning point of the case.

Law & Order Season 25 Episode 2 recap: Who killed Todd Feldman?

Cassie initially appeared as a troubled teen, claiming innocence when detectives found a bead from her charm bracelet near the crime scene. But her lies unraveled quickly. The investigators found out that she took an Uber ride just minutes after Todd's death. They also found out that Todd's missing phone and the murder weapon were in a trash bin nearby.

The motive was chilling. Todd had morphed a swimsuit photo of Cassie using AI. He then spread the doctored image among the other classmates who often trolled him for being a virgin. Already fragile after losing her mother during the pandemic, Cassie snapped. She followed Todd in the park, stabbed him with a knife, and tried to cover the tracks, but failed.

In the true Law & Order fashion, the courtroom drama was as riveting as the investigation. Executive ADA Nolan Price pursued the case aggressively, despite its complications in his personal life. His girlfriend, therapist Grace Hall, was Cassie's counselor.

Law & Order Season 25 Episode 2 recap: Justice with a heavy cost

The case in this episode wasn't just another case for Nolan Price. It became personal when Grace Hall, his girlfriend, was called to testify. Cassie was Grace's patient, and she saw her as a vulnerable young girl and not a murderer. Cassie was tried as an adult despite Grace's multiple pleas.

On the stand, Grace tried to prove that Cassie's life was shaped by trauma, but the truth soon came out. Cassie had planned Todd Feldman's murder step by step. Upon questioning, Grace admitted that Cassie had spoken about her violent thoughts. In the end, Grace's words helped the jury see Cassie as guilty of first-degree murder.

The verdict left everyone shaken. Price won the case, but at what cost? Grace stood by Cassie, and Price had to challenge her in court. In the end, Grace went to meet Price at a restaurant, teasing that their relationship was not over yet.
