In this special crossover episode, the 2-7 and SVU squads together investigate a murder case that leads them to a human trafficking ring and a shady eugenics program.

It all starts when a Ukrainian woman is killed after she suffers a miscarriage. The detectives find out that her death is tied to a mysterious human trafficking racket. The mastermind behind this was Sarah Tandon, who, along with her partner Sergey, ran a fertility clinic. In reality, they abducted women and sold their babies.

During a raid, Bruno gets injured, and he barely makes it to the hospital. After an emergency surgery, he recovers and joins the team in the end.

Elsewhere, Sarah blames her partner and refuses to cooperate during the interrogation. But soon the detectives track down a geneticist, Joseph Dahlsonn, who exposes Sarah's realities, and in the end, she's proven guilty.
