Episode 2 of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 27 was filled with new twists. The team was introduced to a new member, Jake Griffin, who was sent by Chief Tynan. Griffin was everything the team did not want as a menacing new agent who did not initially understand the grave situation Benson's squad works in, as the victims are mostly women in vulnerable situations.

The new case, about an elite social club that exploits women by forcing them to sign consent forms, due to which they are taken advantage of and exploited by the clientele of the club. Even after raiding the club, they are unable to find any new progress that could help them until Griffin shares the contact details of a woman who would testify in the case.

While Isabella helps them in the case, Daniel, the attorney of club owner Derek, twists it against the woman. However, he is unable to save his client after Bruno finds a video of Maya being mistreated by a man in the club. Benson convinces Maya to testify, and with her help, they get Derek charged for s*x trafficking and promoting prostitution.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 27 will be back next week with another case with a gripping narrative.
