In episode 7 of Law and The City, Ju-hyeong deals with a friend’s scandal involving a married coworker, while Hee-ji juggles several cases. Chang-won takes on a court-appointed scam case, despite being warned it’s not profitable. Hyung-min’s internship program gets praise, and Mun-jeong vents about a construction dispute.

The office stays busy, yet the mood stays light with everyone teasing each other. At a school reunion, Ju-hyeong faces awkward tension: his classmates are clearly uncomfortable around him. A rumor has spread about him, and it’s tied to the same scandal his friend is involved in. Meanwhile, Chang-won uncovers that the innocent woman in his case was wrongfully charged.

The interns continue to impress, and Hee-ji bravely visits the messy construction site. Ju-hyeong and Hee-ji grow closer, reminiscing and eventually sharing a kiss. The group celebrates Lunar New Year, unaware of what’s coming. Just as things seem peaceful, Hee-ji gets a call from her mom: her father’s been arrested.

Then Episode 8 starts with Hee-ji ignoring Ju-hyeong's calls as she privately visits her father in prison, only to be rejected. At the firm, Hyung-min keeps the interns calm while Sang-gi’s intense mentorship begins to weigh on them.

Meanwhile, Chang-won is crushed when the woman he defended is found guilty and fined. Trouble deepens when Hee-ji learns her father may have been conned out of ₩350 million. Ju-hyeong agrees to represent Hee-ji’s father, who’s accused of leading a shady crypto scam.

Chang-won’s boss warns him to stay away from Hee-ji because of her father, leaving him uneasy. The team slowly gets involved, and Mun-jeong even confronts the accuser, Ms. Choi. Hee-ji demands a reinvestigation, sensing her father’s been wrongly blamed.

Everyone works nonstop, and soon they discover Ms. Choi is the true mastermind behind the scam. With the truth out, Hee-ji’s father is cleared, and the whole firm celebrates both justice and Ju-hyeong and Hee-ji’s new romance.

But just as things settle, Mun-jeong is hit with harsh sexism when she asks for maternity leave. The Law and The City episode ends with her quietly facing the reality of being a working woman.

What to expect from Law and The City Episodes 9 & 10?

In Episodes 9 and 10 of Law and the City, we can expect Mun-jeong’s quiet frustration over the maternity leave comment to come to the surface. She’s never one to back down easily, so there’s a strong chance she’ll confront the outdated mindset at the firm.

Meanwhile, with Hee-ji’s father finally cleared, things might ease up between her and Ju-hyeong, giving them room to explore their relationship more openly. But the peace may not last long. Chang-won, still upset over the scam case verdict, might take on something riskier to redeem himself. And now that Ms. Choi has been exposed, there's a good chance an even bigger scheme is on its way.
