Acclaimed author Harlan Coben has teamed up with BAFTA winning writer Danny Brocklehurst to create Lazarus, a horror-thriller series for Prime Video. Considering the creators' track record, audiences have high expectations from the series.
The show revolves around a forensic psychologist who returns to his family home after his father dies by suicide. He soon has some weird experiences and gets involved in the world of cold-case murder mysteries.

Prime Video has confirmed the release date of Lazarus as Wednesday, October 22, 2025. The show is going to comprise six episodes, and the entire season is going to be dropped at once.

Created by Harlan Coben and Danny Brocklehurst, the series revolves around Joel Lazarus, a forensic psychologist whose father dies by suicide. Joel is then haunted by some weird experiences, and he begins to suspect that there might to be more to his father’s death than what meets the eye.
There is another tragedy that happened with him, as his sister was murdered 25 years ago, but the case remains unresolved. Joel then gets involved in the world of cold-case murders. The official logline of the series reads:
“[The show] follows a man who returns home after his father's suicide and begins to have disturbing experiences that can't be explained. He quickly becomes entangled in a series of cold-case murders as he grapples with the mystery of his father's death and his sister's murder 25 years ago.”
The show stars Sam Claflin in the lead role. Bill Nighy stars as his father, Dr L. The rest of the cast includes Alexandra Roach as Jenna, David Fynn as Seth McGovern, Lloyd Lai as Rupert Yuen, Curtis Tennant as Aidan, Kate Ashfield as Detective Alison Brown, Roisin Gallagher as Laura, Karla Crome as Bella, and Ewan Horrocks Young Laz.
