As suggested, by the end of season 1, the protagonist fully reclaims her sense of self. She finds her real interests and spends more time with her family. She joins a church for spiritual peace and community building, makes new friends, and also joins a book club, where she delivers a line that goes viral,

“Life isn’t about finding the right person. It’s about becoming the person you were always meant to be.”

The actor also adds some inspiring lines while speaking with Netflix, Tudum, about how life is uncertain and can take any turn at any moment. Sometimes we would enjoy, sometimes we would suffer.

“Bad things happen to everyone. Life takes unexpected turns, and you have to learn to adapt,” she says. “I think women my age are more resilient than ever. I hope they find hope in Leanne’s story — and remember that it’s never too late to find joy or begin a whole new chapter. We’ve raised families, devoted ourselves to others — now it’s time to rediscover who we are.”

The show's ending reteirates the same. Morgan's daughter-in-law gives birth, bringing a newborn grandchild into the family and reinforcing the show’s themes of growth, renewal, and legacy.

As mentioned, Morgan also stops seeing Bill as a villain in her life and reaches a point of emotional closure with him. Bill is unhappy in his life now, and Leanne tells him that she would have fought for their marriage if she'd known this. Finally, they part with mutual respect while Bill jokingly warns her ex-wife's boyfriend, Andrew, that he will "come after him" if he hurts her.

The transformed Morgan is no longer pissed and frustrated with her life, but is seen embracing a new relationship with FBI agent Andrew, supported and encouraged by her sister Carol and the larger family.
