"Life goes on": Love Is Blind: Brazil star Rivo reacts to Lica choosing Leo over him

Netflix premiered Love Is Blind: Brazil Season 5 on September 10, 2025. The first episode of the social experiment introduced the singles. For this season of the show, singles from the age group 50 and above arrived looking for love.

During the blind dates phase, one of the singles, Lica, 51, Business Administrator, found herself in a bit of a situation. She had two potential connections, Leo and Rivo. After many dates and confusion, she chose Leo to move forward with.

Another cast member, Maria, stated that it might be because Rivo was Fatima's stronger connection, who was friends with Lica. When Rivo learned that Lica was going further with Leo, he confessed to the cameras:

"I was very sad. I was very stunned. But...I like him (Leo) very much. I hope he's very happy. And that Lica is able to give him all the affection and love. Life goes on."

Love Is Blind: Brazil Season 5: Blind dates progress with confusion and stronger connections

During one of the blind dates between Rivo and Lica, he told her that she was his top pick. Despite knowing that he might not be the same for her, he expressed his feelings. Listening to him, Lica said she had to be honest with him. She said that she didn't want to get ahead of herself because it was a decision for life.

In his private confession, Love Is Blind: Brazil star Rivo shared:

"There was a certain spark, a certain energy, a good thing was created. I like it a lot. I'd like to find a way to move forward with her."

The next date was between Lica and Leo. When he said he was "glad," it was her in the pod; she said she had her doubts. He added:

"Your voice does something to me, like...Like, if the day comes when I can show you this notebook, you'll see all the things I wrote about you here."

Listening to him opening up to her, Lica wished she could hug him. In her confession, she shared that she was "undone" and that she had "disarmed" herself. Love Is Blind: Brazil star also talked about seeing little stars, "little hearts blinking everywhere."

Later, when Rivo and Leo had a chat in the men's lounge, where they learned that both of them had a stronger connection with Lica. Leo said she was his first choice. However, the two shook hands and shared that they were still friends. Rivo said:

"But I'm not giving up."

He confessed to the cameras that he had a date with Lica and he was going to make his move.

Fellow Love Is Blind: Brazil cast member Maria commented on the situation between Lica, Rivo, and Leo:

"Honestly, I don't think Lica is really all that into Rivo, because I think she's in love with Leo. Because of her friendship with Fatima, she didn't even consider Rivo. Besides liking Leo, she wouldn't take Fatima's potential husband, right?"

During Rivo and Lica's next blind date, she told him that her number (Leo) was sure that she was the one. Listening to her, Rivo said that he knew who she was referring to. Rivo told her that he didn't care if she was tall, short, fat, or thin. All he cared about was the connection he had with her, which was "very good."

Listening to Rivo, Lica added that she already has her word to her other connection (Leo). He said it was sad, and confessed to the cameras that he was sad and stunned, but he hoped for happiness for Leo.
