Loot Season 3 ending explained: Luciana's wedding twist and a dramatic double proposal

Loot Season 3 wrapped up this exciting season with its finale episode titled "Hail Mary Time". The penultimate episode ended on a cliffhanger with Luciana, aka Ashlee Kate, hijacking Molly's office, and it seems like trouble is brewing for Molly. Molly's personal life is a mess, too. After she broke up with Arthur, she dates a younger man, Maro, but finds it hard to connect with him. Meanwhile, Arthur struggles to cope with the breakup, though Nicholas and Howard help him throughout.

The finale episode begins with Molly watching an episode of Access Hollywood. The breaking news? It's the wedding of the century of billionaire tech mogul John Novak and the Italian socialite Luciana Mozzaburrata. Turns out the couple is set to marry at a 700-year-old church in the Italian countryside. Out of rage and a tad bit of jealousy, Molly rolls her eyes, but she knows that the only way to stop her company from falling is to stop the wedding.

Molly plunges back to reality when the FBI officials take the TV down as evidence for investigation right from her office. She keeps ranting to the FBI agents, but they leave with an office that looks completely barren.

Sophia meets Petra and asks her if they can help the Wells Foundation with the scandal. Sophia tells her whether Representative Walkins could help them out, but it seems like he's an old sleepy head. Petra tells Sophia that they are looking for a Walkin's replacement. Someone young, smart, with an activist background. The criteria perfectly fit Sophia.

Back at the office, Ainsley, Howard, and Nicholas talk about how they have taken everything from the office. Sophia returns, and she says that Petra was of no help and Lucianna is still in control. Molly tells how she should have backed off from troubling the billionaires. However, Sophia motivates her as she tells them that they should be proud of themselves.

During the discussion, Molly comes up with a thrilling idea. She narrates how she could threaten Luciana to expose her identity at her wedding. This might make Luciana back off. But it's difficult to trace her past since she has deleted every piece of evidence from the internet about her identity. However, Molly's determined to bring her down and tells her team to pack for a wedding as she utters,

"Let's go ruin a billionaire's wedding."

Molly brings Maro with her, which leaves Arthur a bit awkward. Arthur and Molly have a little chat on their way to the wedding destination. Arthur reveals that he's now into online dating. A nervous Arthur overexplains, but he stops later, and the two awkwardly sit in front of each other.

Molly finally reveals that they are heading to Delaware first to trace Luciana, aka Ashlee Kate's, past. Molly says that she will go to Lucianna's high school and get an old yearbook and bring it to the wedding.

Maro volunteers to accompany Molly, but Molly insists it's not a good idea. Nicholas reveals that since Arthur is from Delaware, he could be useful. Initially, Arthur is hesitant and tells him that he's from Rhode Island, but later agrees.

As the two walk through the hallway as they talk about their high school days. They enter the high school front office as Brenda and Dave. Molly claims that she was the 2003 prom queen, Michelle Mallorino. The woman at the desk reveals that Michelle got hit in the head with a firework, her hair caught fire, her brain boiled, and she's been in a paralyzed state since then.

The woman in the office asks her to leave, but Molly, being Molly, reveals her true identity and offers to donate to a school library if she gets the yearbook. But the woman says that she needs no library but a principal's office with all luxury amenities like a jacuzzi, tanning beds, and a smokers' area. Molly agrees. She finally gets the yearbook and leaves the school.

At the exotic wedding venue, Howard tells Molly that this is the fanciest wedding he's been to. Molly tells them to enjoy the wedding while she looks for Luciana. Ainsley gets a call from Sophia, and it initially seems like an emergency, so they rush to find her. Turns out she's surrounded by three peacocks. It's a hilarious moment as she calls them monsters and Ainsley asks them their names. Nicholas steps forward and shoos away the peacocks.

Nicholas asks her if something is disturbing her. Sophia reveals that Petra has offered her to run for Congress. But she reveals that she's feeling a bit guilty about leaving the foundation when it's in trouble. But her friends cheer her up.

Meanwhile, outside Luciana's room, Molly is stopped by the guards. When Molly finally enters the room, she sees that Luciana is all decked up, ready to be married. As Molly steps forward and places a deal to stop harassing her foundation, a crying Luciana with ruined eye makeup turns around and says that John is missing. Turns out John is leaving her at the altar.

Elsewhere, Arthur and Maro have a candid chat about Molly as Arthur praises her and advises Maro to take good care of her.

Loot Season 3 Episode 10: Molly motivates Luciana after John leaves her before the wedding

Luciana reveals that she tracked John's PJ, and he is in the Pacific Ocean. Luciana cries her heart out, and Molly motivates her. Molly gives a reality check about billionaires to Luciana. Turns out, they realize that John and other billionaires are the main culprits. Luciana says that she would call the White House and ask them to stop investigating the Wells Foundation.

They step out together on the balcony, and Luciana reveals her true identity in front of the guests. She says,

"I ain't Italian. That was a ruse. Second things second, the wedding's off. The groom pussed out. But don't worry, I got this. John rented out all night, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna let some rich prick ruin it. Actually, if you are a billionaire, get lost. That's right, today we're gonna party the Delaware style. Hey DJ blast some real sh*t."

At the party, Melinda, a fellow philanthropist, congratulates Molly for her work. Meanwhile, Molly and Arthur watch an elderly couple dancing, and Arthur reveals he's not fine and he misses her. Molly says that she misses him, too. Arthur points to the elderly couple and says that they should be us. They smile fondly at each other. She gets to her feet and says Should we try again. He stands up, and they hit the dance floor together. They touch their foreheads, but Maro interrupts. Maro gets down on one knee, and Molly's eyes go wide. Arthur wastes no time and gets on one knee and proposes to Molly for marriage. Ainsley faints, and the other are left shocked.
