Love Is Blind Season 9 Episode 8: What happened when Edmond's mom met Kalybriah for the first time?

Love Is Blind Season 9 Episode 8 featured the first meeting between Edmond's mom, Kerry, and Kalybriah.

It was after the engaged couples moved in together with their fiancé in a shared space. Edmond and Kalybriah were one of those couples. One morning, his mom arrived to meet the two.

She chatted with Kalybriah about various things and had beautiful conversations. While Edmond made breakfast for them, the two talked. Later, they all prayed and enjoyed their breakfast.

Edmond's mom told Kalybriah about the gift she had for her. They also talked about Edmond and his mom's visits to Ghana, among other things. Later, she got emotional while telling Love Is Blind star Edmond that she liked Kalybriah.

Love Is Blind Season 9 Episode 8: Edmond's mom meets Kalybriah for the first time, and they enjoy emotional conversations about many things

Recently released episode 8 of the social experiment featured Edmond and Kalybriah getting to know each other better. After they started living in a shared space, Edmond's mom, Kerry, visited the two.

At the time, Love Is Blind star Edmond was making pancakes because he wanted to cook for his mom. When Kalybriah met her future mother-in-law, she asked her how she was.

Kerry's response was:

"I'm doing better now that I've met my future...Oh my goodness....I'm blessed and highly favored, and you just keep on making the blessings grow....So fruitful."

Soon, they started their conversations, during which Kerry asked Kalybriah a few questions.

"What made you pick my son? What coconut fell off the tree and hit you in the head?" asked Edmond's mom.

Kalybriah shared the concept of going on blind dates in the pods. She mentioned falling in love based on the "insides." For her, it was Edmond:

"By day three, I'm just like, "Okay, when do I get to see this man? When do I get to see Edmond? Just falling for who he is, his story, his life, him being able to be vulnerable. A lot of men can't be. He can be very vulnerable."

Kerry noted that her son had seen a lot. Love Is Blind star Kalybriah also shared about being a travel social worker. As Kshe talked about the pods and how sometimes people go on sharing things they hadn't shared with anyone before, Kerry responded:

"There could be things about Edmond that I don't even know, so if he finds, especially, his soulmate to open up and share that with, then come on, high five."

She then talked about Edmond's habit of putting things and emotions in "little lockup boxes" and putting them away. She added that she was "glad" that he was ready to give Kaybriah the key to that box.

Later, she also talked about having a gift for Kalybriah. But she had forgotten it in her room. It was cultural beads. She added that she gave it to all her daughters-in-law. Listening to her emotional gesture, Love Is Blind star Kalybriah went to hug her.

Kalybriah asked her how to put it on. Kerry replied that she would share it with Edmond and that he would share it with her. She also revealed that she had a bead girl in Ghana who made those beads for her.

Before digging into their breakfast, they all prayed.

"What's gonna happen in life is gonna happen in life. Destiny is going to unfold, period. Therefore, don't stress nothing in life," shared Kerry.

She recalled her visits to Ghana and how everyone always asked her about food.

Later, when Love Is Blind star Kalybriah was not present, Edmond's mom told him that she liked her. She got emotional while talking about his future. His mom mentioned that Kalybriah "fits" with him.

When Kalybriah returned, Kerry told her about how little it takes to make a man happy. They want a little bit of acknowledgement.
