Love Is Blind Season 9 Finale: Ali refuses to get married at the wedding ceremony

The latest Love Is Blind Season 9 finale featured Ali and Anton's wedding ceremony. The two were among the two couples whose wedding ceremonies were featured in the finale.

While getting ready for the ceremony, Anton confessed that both of them wanted a family. He thought that Ali would make a great mom. He also shared with the caemras that his biggest fear was Ali saying no at the altar. Unfortunately, it came true later that day, as she said no at the altar.

During the wedding ceremony, Anton shared:

"You're absolutely beautiful. You're gorgeous. But the reason I fell in love with you is because the connection we had. Because we have the same goals, and we have the same outlook on our lives and future."

He also reflected on their journey and noted that the two had their ups and downs. He added that no good thing would ever come easy. Anton shared his excitement to start their future together.

After the two exchanged their vows, the wedding officiant asked the question everyone was waiting for. Love Is Blind star Anton agreed and said, "I do."

However, Ali's answer was:

"I can't be your wife."

She added:

"I feel like the person I fell in love with in the pods isn't the person I've gotten to experience in real life. I'm so sorry."

Ali walked off the aisle and broke down in tears. On the other hand, Anton was still standing there, alone. He also couldn't hold back his tears. His mom told him that he would have the best days ahead. She told him that while he said everything, including his soul and mind, Ali didn't appreciate it.

Later in her confessional, Love Is Blind star Ali shared that it was really hard to leave Anton alone at the altar.

"I almost wish he would have said no. I was really hoping that standing up there with him would, like, make me feel at ease...and confident. It just didn't feel right or how I would expect that moment to feel like," said Ali.

She also noted that Anton wasn't "super forthcoming" about his lifestyle. She recalled knowing about his partying and drinking habits from his friends. It changed her perspective of him.

Anton mentioned that he didn't know what Ali meant when she mentioned that he was not the same person. He was unsure whether she meant it in terms of looks or vibes.
