Love, Take Two is one of the must-watch comfort dramas on tvN, which introduces viewers to a single mother, Ji-an, who works as a construction site manager. However, Ji-an's life changes when she discovers that her only daughter, Hyo-ri, has a brain tumor and cannot continue her studies or live a fast-paced life in Seoul.
Since Hyo-ri is aware of her condition, she grows distant from her mother, but Ji-an doesn't give up. The two are now settled in the countryside, where Ji-an also meets her first love, Jeong-seok, from school.
Jeong-seok is a single father, and his charming son, Bo-hyeon, falls in love with Hyo-ri. The two are in a happy relationship, and Ji-an and Jeong-seok's relationship also improves in Episode 9 as they spend time at the beach.
While Jeong-seok tries to maintain boundaries, Ji-an gets excited. She even dresses up for him and puts on makeup, something Ji-an would rarely do. They enjoy a date, but things remain a bit awkward as they try to figure out their true feelings.

Love, Take Two Episode 9 recap: Ji-an and Jeong-seok's relationship moves forward
The Love, Take Two episode 9 picks up from the beach moment, where Ji-an and Jeong-seok talk about their feelings. While Jeong-seok hasn't changed much, Ji-an has a new vibe. She dresses up and puts on makeup, clearly excited to see him the next morning.
Meanwhile, Hyo-ri is excited to meet her best friend, Sook, who is visiting after some time. Later in the episode, Ji-an tries to fix a wall with paint and receives help from Mimi and Yeo-jeong, which brings them together.
At first, there's some annoyance in the air, but slowly Yeo-jeong begins to lower her guard. She talks about the painful experiences she had while living in the United States. Ji-an listens with care and tries to comfort her with kind words and advice.
However, her attempt to help doesn't go as planned. Yeo-jeong has an accident—she slips from a ladder and gets hurt. When Jeong-seok finds out, he becomes angry at Ji-an, feeling she is stepping into problems that are not hers to solve.

Ji-an encourages Jeong-seo to reconcile with his ex-wife in Love, Take Two Episode 9
As the Love, Take Two episode 9 continues, Jeong-seok clashes with Ji-an, but she tells him to reconcile with his ex-wife. Though Ji-an has some feelings for him, she advises this for the sake of their family. However, Jeong-seok no longer feels the same for Yeo-jeong.
Confused and hurt, he turns to drinking with Chief Ko's husband, who reminds him to let go of old wounds and open himself to new love. This makes Jeong-seok recall the painful moment when he once caught Yeo-jeong cheating.
Later, when Jeong-seok and Yeo-jeong talk by the beach, she suggests moving to Germany for a fresh start and even asks him to join. But he firmly refuses, saying he cannot erase her betrayal. He tells her to stop trying to control things, even as she pleads for another chance.
Eventually, Yeo-jeong admits that Ji-an is the perfect woman for Jeong-seok—not just because they like each other, but because Ji-an understands him better. This realization makes Yeo-jeong step back, deciding not to pressure her ex-husband anymore.
Confession, acceptance and a new beginning in Love, Take Two Episode 9
While Ji-an and Jeong-seok are confused about each other, Hyo-ri and Bo-hyeon’s relationship runs smoothly. They even enjoy time with friends, while Sook continues to tease Bo-hyeon for being Hyo-ri's boyfriend.
This Love, Take Two episode shows how happy Hyo-ri is living in the countryside, rather than chasing the dream she never had in Seoul. At home, Moon-hee notices Ji-an's doubts and gently tells her to be brave and share her feelings with Jeong-seok.
Even so, it is Hyo-ri's encouraging words that finally give Ji-an the strength she needs. She rushes out to find him, and by chance, they end up on the same road. When they meet, all the emotions they had been holding back come to the surface.
Both finally confess their feelings, and the episode ends with them in a heartfelt moment, no longer hiding what they truly want.
