Bae Geum-ji is a bar girl and an escort who is introduced in the KCAI-ruled Korea with different mandates, including certain clothes and appearance restrictions. Geum-ji also had a child whose father is not revealed, as of now. It is revealed that she keeps a book where she has written the names of all the people she has been physically involved with. However, she later tells Gi-tae that no such notebook exists. At this point, Gi-tae doesn't seem bothered even when she tries to blackmail him.

On the other hand, Geum-ji has her own plans for her child. She does not want him to live in hiding, so she speaks to Cheon Seok-jung to make a deal. For Gi-tae, Geum-ji was a fearless woman because of the actions she took.

Gi-tae, from the beginning, had his own plans to be powerful. Hence, along with being the head of KCAI, he was also involved with other businesses to gain power and money, a secret he was successfully hiding from others. However, Geum-ji gets a hint about his chase for power.

Geum-ji, on the other hand, also wants to keep a good bond with Gi-tae, as he has information about Yakuza.

Yakuza's other name is Choi Yuji, and judging by the importance Gi-tae gives her, she seems very powerful and important to Gi-tae. Yuji is also facing pressure from her father to make sure the business does well.

However, Gi-tae's sister seems worried for him with his ongoing plans to sell meth in Japan. In Made in Korea episode 3, Gi-tae fires a gun at Geum-ji as she tries to run.

In Made in Korea Episode 3, Geon-yeong is seen investigating the death of Manjae with his suspicion on Hwang. However, Hwang doesn't tell him anything because of the deal he has made with Gi-tae, something viewers come to know about in Episode 4. It turns out Gi-tae agreed to pay Hwang three hundred million won to be allowed to continue his drug business.

In the last episode, Gi-tae saved Daeil, and viewers also saw Geon-Yeong meeting Daeil as a different person. His ties with Daeil are helping Geon-yeong with the inner details.

However, Geon-yeong doesn't have any solid evidence yet and can't confront Gi-tae directly about the same.

In Made in Korea episode 4, viewers also see a brief history of Geon-yeong's past. Geon-yeong had a bad family history, with his mother getting murdered by his own father, who was addicted to meth, something that he doesn't even acknowledge in the present while being in the mental health facility.

The two later meet for lunch. Gi-tae, who is keeping all details about Geon-yeong, doesn't hesitate to take the name of Geon-yeong's sister, the only family member who is left after his addicted father.

Geon-yeong has no plan to stop as he goes to Osaka to arrest Gi-tae because of his meth dealings. Hwang, with whom Gi-tae has made a deal, is also after Gi-tae and makes plans with Haksoo to kill him.

Hwang goes to a temple to collect the deal money. However, he is followed by Geon-yeong. Gi-tae is one step ahead and shoots at Hwang in the same place.

He also starts a fire to destroy any evidence of killing Hwang so Geon-yeong can't catch him, and he can get rid of a traitor. Now that Hwang is gone, he also doesn't have to pay the bribe money to run his illegal business.
