Marvel Zombies star Elizabeth Olsen does not want Marvel to keep repeating itself in its new MCU Phase 6

The Marvel Zombies star Elizabeth Olsen, who plays the Scarlet Witch, has grown to become one of the most iconic characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The themes of grief and loss that have been reflected in her character's journey and how beautifully she has managed to portray them contributed to the love that the fandom has for her and Wanda.

In a recent conversation at the LA Comic Con 2025, when asked what she would like to see in Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the actor had an interesting reply for the audience.

Marvel Zombies star Elizabeth Olsen on her hopes for Marvel Phase 6

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is slowly building up its sixth phase, starting with the release of Fantastic 4 and Eyes of Wakanda. Marvel Zombies was the next release on the sixth phase, and it is turning out to be a hit in the Marvel fandom. The originality of the animated series, the fact that it originated from a What If...? episode, and the exceptional story are contributing to the acclaim that the show is receiving since its release.

The release of Marvel Zombies brings us one step closer to the real build-up of the sixth phase of the MCU: the Doomsday and Secret Wars movies. The loyal fandom has been exceptionally excited about the sixth phase of the MCU and is looking for any possible leaks on what can be expected in this new phase.

Marvel Zombies star Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany (Vision) recently sat on a panel for the LA Comic Con 2025, and the panelist asked them both the question that was on everyone's mind. What are they expecting out of Phase 6 of the MCU? Bettany gave a hilarious reply when he said, "a massive paycheck," whereas Olsen had a uniquely interesting reply to the question:

"I hope we continue to surprise ourselves and the audience. Like I think that's what keeps people coming back is to not to not rely on old tricks. And so that's what I hope for."

Olsen has always been one to voice her opinions on the Marvel movies, and while she has been grateful for the opportunities they have presented her with, she always refers to her acting roles in indie films, which she believes are more "representative of her taste."

Her opinion and advice for the sixth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe portray how she values the creative growth of the characters and the plot over everything else. Hopefully, the sixth phase of Marvel will be imbued with these qualities, and the fans who have been waiting for years for these movies will be more than satisfied.

As for the Marvel Zombies star Olsen's Wanda Maximoff, she has recently stated on a podcast that her character will not be returning for Doomsday or Secret Wars, so there's a high possibility that her future in the universe is uncertain as of now. However, there is also the possibility that some details and some returns are being kept confidential for the movies, and no assumptions can be made until their release.
