Per WB, Rage will come with eight episodes, each being 30 minutes long, but so far, there is no official synopsis for the same. Official trailer for HBO's original Spanish series Rage surfaces and the stakes seem quite high

Max has dropped the official trailer for Rage, and the center of the story is five women and how their lives are intertwined in some way as they coexist on a desolate property. The opening sequence of the newest clip sets a tense tone as one of the male characters (most probably a spiritual leader) throws the line:

"We are all going to die." (in Spanish)

It becomes clear that the 5 female characters (the protagonists) have their own turmoils to deal with, but, as we know, it is very difficult to escape what we commonly call the 'domino effect.' One thing goes wrong, and that leads to something even worse.

As the clip suggests, the certainty of death should 'help' the characters 'embrace' their lives, and the fact that they have reached 'a common catharsis,' per WB, is attested by the dialogue:

"If you are here, it's because you have undoubtedly reached the state of rage."

The tone of the trailer makes it evident that humor will also play a big role in the upcoming HBO series Rage. But as the story further unfolds, action sets in with guns ablaze. The protagonists are seen engaging in fights that eventually make things go awry, with people even getting arrested.

One of the final scenes of Rage's trailer shows two of the central characters killing a person (identity not revealed yet) and pushing him to a grave, with one of them saying:

"Come on, let's bury him now. Then we'll have some wine."

Rage has been executive produced by Antonio Trashorras, José María Caro, Alberto Carullo, and David Ocaña. Carmen Machi is one of the leading cast members who has played the role of an arrogant artist named Marga.

Alongside her, there will be Alberto San Juan in the role of Roberto, Marga's husband. Among others in the cast of Rage, we have:

  • Nat, a woman who works in the fashion industry as a sales executive (played by Candela Peña)
  • Tina, Roberto's maid and with whom he also engages in an affair (portrayed by Claudia Salas)
  • Adela, the mother of Tina (portrayed by Nathalie Poza)
  • Vera, a friend of Marga's and an aspiring chef whose business shuts down due to unprecedented customer feedback (played by Pilar Castro)
  • Victoria, a neighbor to Adela as well as Nat, who also has a history in the film industry (played by Cecilia Roth)

Coincidentally, all these characters are interconnected in one way or the other. Roberto becomes romantically involved with Tina and gets her pregnant. Vera and Marga are good friends, and they usually buy things from a fashion boutique where, in turn, Nat works. However, how the story unfolds and brings these 5 central characters to a common point still remains to be seen.
