The ending of Motorheads left a lot of questions unanswered, and fans cannot wait for the second season already. It also felt like the plot got very little closure, and the climax culminated quite abruptly with too many layers unfolding at the same time.

The legend of Christian Maddox gets a chance to live on through Zac's much-awaited race against Harris. On the other hand, Caitlyn's dream comes true as she can give her father's yellow 'UNB10' Challenger its old look back - all set for the big showdown.

But, a lot of things pass unattended, like the story behind the Spider Lake postcard, its connection to Christian Maddox's disappearance, Harris' fate, and the mysterious call that Caitlyn gets in Motorheads' season finale. While cliffhangers make sense (keeping in mind the viewers' excitement) but the latest Prime Video drama could have offered some closure regarding a few things.

Motorheads Season 1 had quite the tumultuous ending, leaving many plot loopholes

While it is absolutely logical to keep certain questions unanswered (for fans to figure out the opening ending) at the end of a show like Motorheads, it is also important for particular plotlines to get closure. The disappearance of Christian Maddox is the first main question that remains unanswered, but it was there from the very early episodes of the show.

However, some revelations in the later part of Motorheads Season 1 make things even more confusing. It is eventually learned that Samantha was the one who helped Maddox bury the cash by the river while Logan pulled him out on the land (though initially it seemed he went away with the cash and never returned).

On the other hand, Ray plans a big heist with Ezra (who recently completed his sentence in prison and was also a part of the theft that shook the entire Ironwood 17 years back) - out of nowhere, they land on Harris and convince him to be part of it. It was quite a hasty move to include a character like Harris (coming from an influential background) in such a task.

On the contrary, it was very convenient for Zac to call up Harris right at the time of the heist and persuade him to drop it so that they could have their final race - quite a dramatic move with no closure to the duo's character arc.

Moreover, the story of the stolen money(from back in the day) gets even more confusing when Samantha and Logan dig up the specified spot and find all the bags empty. Instead, they come across a picture of Christian Maddox and Logan sitting somewhere by Spider Lake in Michigan.

This revelation further complicates another plot point where Caitlyn and Curtis come across the Spider Lake postcard while working on Maddox's car in Logan's garage. It soon becomes clear that Logan used to get these postcards with numbers on them once in a while, and he would chase them blindly, but it led him nowhere.

So, there we get another loose end and no closure on why the name Spider Lake keeps coming up. Moreover, the explanation as to who used to send the cards did not seem very solid on Logan's part.

All these still seem acceptable until the final moments of Motorheads' ending where Harris gets caught in a life-threatening accident while racing Zac, another branch emerges from an open conclusion. But the phone call that Caitlyn gets in the very last sequence of Motorheads brings another possibility related to Christian Maddox's story, as the number appearing on her screen shows a location at Spider Lake, Michigan. Is he really alive, or is he MIA on purpose? It all remains to be seen, and Motorheads Season 2 has a lot of closure to provide.
