Fox's Memory of A Killer released a new promo teasing Patrick Dempsey's portrayal as Angelo Ledda. The promo shows Dempsey's character living a double life and also grappling with a secret that could ruin his life.
In the footage, while Behind Blue Eyes by the English rock band The Who plays in the background, Dempsey's character is shown aiming at his next target. The scene then changes and shows Angelo with his family, and later shows him struggling, perhaps due to losing his memories because of the early onset of Alzheimer's.
The thriller series is based on a 2003 Belgian film De Zaak Alzheimer (La Mémoire Du Tueur). Along with Dempsey's first look as Angelo, the teaser also revealed that the series will premiere in January 2026.

On October 24, 2025, Fox shared a teaser for its new thriller series, Memory of A Killer. In the series, Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey is set to play Angelo Ledda, the hitman the show revolves. As per the logline, Ledda is a hitman who has been successful in keeping his criminal life and his personal life as a photocopier salesman, separated. However, his illness has made him fear that the wall that he has built to keep the two aspects of his life separated might come crashing down.
The promo also shows Dempsey's character in every setting: as a hitman, a family man, and a person who is slowly suffering and losing his memories. Along with Dempsey, the thriller series also stars veteran actor Michael Imperioli. His character, Dutch, is also important as he is one of Ledda's oldest friends.
However, that's not his only identity, as he is also a popular Italian chef with his restaurant in the Bronx. Along with his social activities, the restaurant is also the base of all his criminal activities, and he also provides targets for Ledda. Fox's Memory of A Killer also has Richard Harmon in the ensemble cast playing the character of Joe, a hitman who works under Dutch and Angelo.
He is also one of the characters who witnesses Angelo's descent into Alzheimer's, leaving him to decide whether he wants to use the information for his own good. Odeya Rush is set to play Angelo's daughter, Maria. According to Deadline, Gina Torres will play Special Agent Linda Grant, Daniel David Stewart will appear as Maria's husband, Jeff, and Peter Gadiot will appear as a local police detective, Dave, in the upcoming series.
Memory of A Killer comes from writers Tracey Malone and Ed Whitmore, who will also serve as Executive Producers of the series with Cathy Schulman and David Schulner. As per the teaser, Fox's thriller series will be released in January 2026.
