My Life With the Walter Boys Season 2 premiered on August 28, 2025 and the 10-episode season closed with Jackie finally admitting her love for Cole, but not before he did the same. While Jackie being in love with Cole in itself is a complicated choice, what made it worse was the fact that Alex was right there when the confession happened. Thus the whole thing was a shock for him.

Jackie and Alex have been a thing throughout My Life With the Walter Boys Season 2. Therefore Alex’s shocked reaction to find out that Jackie was also in love with his brother was quite justified and understandable.

Talking about the finale and reading it for the first time, Nikki Rodriguez, the actor who plays Jackie told The Hollywood Reporter that her first thoughts were:

“I don’t know what comes after this!”

Since Jackie had spent most of My Life With the Walter Boys Season 2 avoiding Cole and being in complete denial of her feelings for him, the final confession was as impactful as the makers intended it to be and gave the love triangle dynamic a completely different spin.

Jackie professed her love for Cole in My Life With the Walter Boys Season 2

While Jackie’s decision of getting back with Alex and then by the end of the season confessing her feelings for Cole might make viewers angry at her, it is important to remember that she herself is going through a lot.

As a teenage girl who had gone through a massive tragedy and is then finding her footing again in the world, Jackie is bound to be confused and that is what she is in My Life With the Walter Boys Season 2.

Talking about how Jackie feels about both the brothers, Rodriguez told THR:

“She cares about them both so deeply. I think she does feel obligated, and she feels like she’s trying to make everything right and do right by everybody. She ends up making a ton of mistakes along the way.”

According to Rodriguez, Jackie’s character is also going through a transformation as she is trying to address problems head on. The actor said:

“In season one, you see Jackie really push away all of her feelings. At the start of season two, you see her make that decision to come back, decide to confront things and try to be almost the perfect version of herself, because she feels guilty. That’s her only way to feel like she could make things right, a little bit.”

She also added:

“That’s the overall theme throughout the season. You see her deal with things a little bit more head on with Alex and Cole and with her grief. It comes out in different ways than she expects. It’s about her growing and just taking a little bit more responsibility.”

It would be interesting to see where Jackie, Alex, and Cole go from this point and if Jackie can successfully make the brothers understand what she feels for both of them.

My Life With the Walter Boys can be streamed on Netflix.
