NCIS Season 23 Episode 3 will air on CBS on October 28. The network's long-running military police procedural releases weekly episodes every Tuesday on CBS.
Season 23 of NCIS kicked off with an intense two-part story, where Parker struggled to get justice for his father. While his search for Carla came to a satisfying halt in the previous episode, following which he gave a proper farewell to his father, new evidence suggests that there might be more secrets for Parker to discover.
However, NCIS Season 23 is shifting the focus from Parker to Torres for now, who was discreetly asked to stay back for a meeting by Vance. Torres' familiar frenemy will return in Episode 3, increasing the stakes for the Special Agent.
The latest season of NCIS marks the return of the main ensemble cast, including Sean Murray as McGee, Rocky Carroll as Vance, Wilmer Valderrama as Torres, Diona Reasonover as Kasie, Gary Cole as Parker and Katrina Law as Knight.

A quick recap of NCIS Season 23 Episode 2
Parker's search for his father's killer continued in NCIS Season 23 Episode 2. The episode picked up right from the cliffhanger of the premiere and it was revealed that Parker managed to survive the explosion (of the ship) and hid out in Gibbs' cabin. Elsewhere, Carla also escaped and fled to Cuba after taking her granddaughter hostage. Parker and the NCIS team had a deadly showdown with Carla in Cuba, where McGee and Torres fatally shot her.
After Parker's father was given an official burial at sea, Vance asked Torres to stay back in his office for a meeting. The closing moments of Episode 2 set up another mystery. Kasie discovered that the lipstick mark on the wineglasses found in Parker's home does not match Carla's DNA, which means there was another woman in the house.
What can you expect in NCIS Season 23 Episode 3?
The official synopsis for the upcoming episode reads as follows:
When a petty officer's death is connected to a blackmail investigation, the team is forced to work with Special Agent Sawyer on the case, which takes a terrifying turn for Torres.
A familiar (but unfriendly) face will return to work closely with the NCIS team in the upcoming episode.
Actor Zane Holtz's Special Agent Sawyer will return in NCIS Season 23 Episode 3 and he will be paired with Torres. Sawyer was last seen in Season 22, working with the team on a riveting case. With his impending arrival, tensions will run high when he is paired with Torres to work on a blackmail case. Since Agent Sawyer knows how to push Torres' buttons, it will be interesting to see how the team dynamics would change with this arrival.
Additionally, the preview for the upcoming episode also suggests that NCIS will dabble in a little Halloween fun. Their search for the killer will take them to a spooky location and it remains to be seen what 'ghosts' from the past will be uncovered in Episode 3.
