NCIS nights are officially back on Tuesdays and NCIS: Sydney Season 3 Episode 2 will air on CBS on October 21.

The Australian original is the latest spin-off of CBS's long-running military police procedural, which follows NCIS agents working together with the Australian Federal Police.

The Season 3 premiere was an exciting hour of television, which followed the titular team in the aftermath of the NCIS: Sydney Season 2 finale. Mackey began the premiere reeling from the fallout of the previous season and she received a troubling psych evaluation from her therapist. While she is trying to keep things in her control, JD recognizes that she needs help and calls her out.

NCIS: Sydney Season 3 marks the return of the main cast, including Olivia Swann, Todd Lasance, Sean Sagar, Tuuli Narkle, and Mavournee Hazel.

NCIS: Sydney Season 3 Episode 2 - Release and streaming details

NCIS: Sydney Season 3 Episode 2, titled True Blue, will air on CBS on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT. A day later, you can also stream the episode on Paramount+, CBS's official streaming platform.

Following the cancelation of FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International this year by CBS, the platform has made some essential changes to its Fall 2025-26 lineup.

NCIS's mothership series has returned to its original Tuesdays at 8/7c time slot in Season 23, which was changed to Mondays at 9/8c since Season 19. Following this change for the parent series, NCIS: Sydney Season 3 will also release weekly episodes every Tuesday night.

You can tune in to the NCIS night every Tuesday on CBS, starting with NCIS, followed by NCIS: Origins and finally concluding with NCIS: Sydney.

What happened in the Season 3 premiere?

Mackey and the team were assigned to investigate the sudden reappearance of some Navy soldiers in NCIS: Sydney Season 3 Episode 1, who were eventually revealed to be a set-up for some Filipino extremists. Thanks to Mackey's gut instinct, she managed to take out the remaining Filipino terrorist and save the day once again.

However, the team returned with shifting character dynamics and changed loyalties. While Blue has officially resigned, JD brought in one of his AFP colleagues, named Travis, for a full security audit of the team’s headquarters. Travis did not sit right with the majority of the team members, but he proved his worth by making an important breakthrough in the case.
