To be part of the New Girl tribe, you probably have to scream “True American!” at friends who did not ask for it. The Fox sitcom built an era of quirky comedy and relatable characters who felt like versions of ourselves.Created by Elizabeth Meriwether, New Girl ran for seven seasons from 2011 to 2018. The show is famous for its awkwardness and improv-heavy dialogue. We saw teachers who were dorks and bartenders who were unstable. And then there was one homeless guy who just hung around. Greenfield earned Emmy, Golden Globe, and Critics' Choice nominations.4) Lamorne Morris joined as Winston Bishop. This character used to be a Latvian pro basketball player, but then became a prank scientist who is a cat dad. Morris was also successful later with Woke and Game Night.5) Rounding out the main cast was British-Canadian actress Hannah Simone, who played Cece Parekh. Her character served as a wise role model (pun intended!) and eventually became Schmidt's soulmate. Simone won a Teen Choice Award and has continued to shine in TV and voice acting.Supporting cast of New GirlThe show had a crossover episode with another fan favorite, aka Brooklyn 99, and vice versa. So you can guess that even the supporting cast of a show like this would be an ensemble in its own right.
