South Park is one of the most prominent American animated television programs and was created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Four young people, Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny, reside in the tiny Colorado town of South Park.

The narrative started in 1997. The show is well-known for its dark humor and gags on real-life issues. It has received several honors, such as the Peabody and Emmy Awards, and has produced around 300 episodes.

Paper cutouts served as the basis for the animation technique prior to computer animation. In 2025, the show's producers and Paramount+ reached a new streaming deal. On July 23, 2025, Season 27 will debut.

A new teaser for the much-anticipated 27th season of South Park has just been released, giving viewers a preview of the show. On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, the show will make its Comedy Central premiere, continuing its tradition of pushing boundaries with clever comedy and current affairs expertise. The teaser suggests that South Park will have all of its signature themes in yet another wild season.

Jetpacks, spectacular catastrophes, political parodies, and even a made-up war with Canada are just a few of the small peeks of the mayhem that awaits in the teaser. As promised, the new season will blend sarcasm and absurdity to make viewers laugh while making fun of pop culture, current affairs, and daily life. Longtime viewers can anticipate that the series will continue to combine humor and criticism in a distinctive way, even though specifics about each episode are being kept under wraps.

South Park's voices are provided by its founders, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who continue to direct the show's artistic and vocal aspects. Among the notable characters Parker portrays are Mr. Garrison, Eric Cartman, and Stan Marsh. Stone portrays Kyle Broflovski, Kenny McCormick, and Butters.

The cast is completed by supporting voice actors Mona Marshall and April Stewart, who play Sheila Broflovski, Sharon Marsh, and Wendy Testaburger, respectively. Their performances have added to the show's ongoing appeal and vitality over the years.

Due to corporate changes brought about by the merger of Paramount Global and Skydance Media, the premiere of Season 27 was postponed from earlier this month. Fans will be relieved that the season will now start without any more delays, even though the release date was postponed by two weeks. Every week on Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, a new episode will premiere.

The new season will be accessible on a number of live TV streaming services. This majorly includes Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, FuboTV, YouTube TV, and DirecTV Stream, in addition to Comedy Central, and episodes will be posted to Paramount+ the day after they premiere, per a recent deal between the platform and the show's creators. However, because of ongoing rights transfers, Season 27 will not be accessible on older streaming services.
