Deli Boys gets renewed for a second season by Hulu
As per The Hollywood Reporter, Fred Armisen's role in Deli Boys Season 2 has been described as:
"A gambling savant with a casino empire whose crown jewel is in Philadelphia, where the show is set."
According to her statement to The Hollywood Reporter in March 2025, Deli Boys' executive producer Jenni Konner had teased the idea of a second season. She also dropped a hopeful update on having in store "really fun, weird ideas" moving forward.
Though at that point there was not "some huge mega-plan," Konner's comments hinted towards the Hulu comedy show's renewal. She reportedly mentioned in a statement, saying:
"It’s too early. We don’t have some huge mega-plan, but we do have this storage of really fun, weird ideas that may or may not emerge. "
In the same interview, Konner spoke highly of the lead stars, mentioning their energetic on-screen aura. To quote her exact words:
"We also know in so many fun, new ways what these actors are good at, and what is a super funny energy for them. Those guys are really funny together."
Now, Deli Boys' renewal comes just months after its first season, and much speculation is going around the internet. So far, the plot details are being kept under wraps. Deli Boys Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger with quite some twists as we learn that Baba Dar's golf ball accident was actually a murder, and the whole thing was orchestrated by Ahmad Saeed, one of his employees.
But Ahmad, who also killed Matthew (the one who discovered the killer), escapes after the big revelation and goes MIA, thereby leaving Deli Boys Season 1's ending open for viewers to speculate. Moreover, Mir's master plan at his wedding helps his family to seal the Peruvian drug deal.
