Netflix confirms Nobody Wants This Season 2 release date (& it’s sooner than expected)

Joanne and Noah are returning sooner than expected, as Netflix has confirmed the release date of Nobody Wants This Season 2. The hit romantic comedy series will be back with a new season on October 23, 2025.

The show follows the unconventional love story of an atheist podcaster and a rabbi. The two meet by chance and decide to stick together despite their different thoughts, backgrounds, and family values.

The first season of the show premiered in September 2024 and earned rave reviews for its heartwarming story and the cast’s performances. Nobody Wants This Season 2 is expected to portray the next phase of Joanne and Noah’s relationship.

Nobody Wants This Season 2 to premiere on October 23, 2025

Netflix announced the premiere date of Nobody Wants This Season 2 with a special video featuring the cast members. The actors tried to figure out what could happen in the upcoming season through a Magic 8 Ball, and at the end, revealed the release date of the newest season as October 23, 2025.

The show is making a comeback just over a year after the first season’s debut, which premiered on September 26, 2024, a rare feat on streaming.

Series creator Erin Foster previously teased that the second season will showcase the next four to six months of Joanne and Noah’s relationship after they decide to be together despite all odds. She said in an interview with IndieWire:

“It’s gonna be romantic and funny. I’m not in the business of depriving people of what they want on a show like this, and making some like, artistic choice to rob you of what you want to see.”

“I really tried to stay on point with Season 1, [it] was all these firsts, first kiss, first date, and this is going to be the next four to six months of the relationship what that looks like.”

The main cast members are reprising their roles in Nobody Wants This Season 2, including Kristen Bell as Joanne, Adam Brody as Noah, Timothy Simons as Sasha, Justine Lupe as Morgan, Jackie Tohn as Esther, Stephanie Faracy as Lynn, Paul Ben-Victor as Ilan, and Tovah Feldshuh as Bina.

The new cast members include Leighton Meester, who will star as Abby, Joanne’s enemy from her school days. Alex Karpovsky, Arian Moayed, and Miles Fowler have also joined the new season as Big Noah, Dr. Andy, and Lenny, respectively.
