In The Witcher Season 4, Liam Hemsworth will play the character of Geralt of Rivia. The series will return to Netflix on Thursday, October 30, 2025. It will pick up from where we left off in Season 3 as the trio- Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer are separated.

Season 4 will depict whether the three characters find their way back to each other as a life-threatening war brews in the background. The synopsis of The Witcher Season 4, as per Netflix, reads as:

"After the Continent-altering events of Season 3, Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri find themselves separated by a raging war and countless enemies. As their paths diverge and their goals sharpen, they encounter unexpected allies eager to join their journeys. And if they can accept these found families, they just might have a chance at reuniting for good…"

In season 4, Geralt begins his journey to look for Ciri and Yennefer, while both characters are left in difficult situations at the end of Season 3 of the fantasy series. In Season 3, Ciri had lost her powers. Therefore, Season 4 might explore more about whether she will be able to get back her powers. Yennefer, on the other hand, has now become the leader of Aretuza and will be holding a more prominent position, which might be challenging for her.

The Matrix star Lawrence Fishburne is the latest addition to the acclaimed series. He will portray a beloved book character named Regis, who is described as “world-wise Barber-surgeon”. Besides him, James Purefoy will play a spy named Skellen, and Sharlto Copley will appear as Leo Bonhart, a bounty hunter.

Other than the new characters, Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra, and Joey Batey, among several others, will return to reprise their roles. The show is created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who also executive produces the series along with Matt O’Toole, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Steve Gaub, and Mike Ostrowski, among others.
