Keeping up their streak of giving easter eggs, Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 4 adds another reference to a popular canon character from the wizarding world of Harry Potter.
The reference is made toward John Economos, played by Ateve Agee, who is called Hagrid, the half-giant gamekeeper of Hogwarts, in the J.K. Rowling books and movies. The comment is made by Eagle Hunter, Red St. Wild (Michael Rooker). The reference adds to the already humorous conversation between the A.R.G.U.S. agents who were discussing Fleuryβs facial expression while talking to Bordeaux on the phone.
More on this in our story.
Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 4: Economos is called Hagrid
From referencing past injuries of Rick Flag Sr. to talking about DCUβs Dark Dimension and Twilight Zone, Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 4 gave us more easter eggs that expanded beyond just the DC universe. One of those references was mentioning Hagrid from the Harry Potter lore.
As the A.R.G.U.S. agents, led by Sasha Bordeaux, are en route to Chrisβs house to arrest him and obtain the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, they engage in a humorous argument, which also involves calling each other with strange yet funny names. The conversation begins with Rip Jagger and Economos, where the former reminds him of their last encounter.
Economos, disgruntledly, says he wishes he had killed him, bringing Fleury into the conversation, who teases the former about his sour mood. This instigates Economos into revealing how he made funny faces while talking to Bordeaux on the phone. When asked, he disclosed that Fleury winked at him, suggesting that Bordeaux was wrapped around his finger.
As Fleury tried to defend himself, Red St. Wild joins in and says that after spending so much time in Illinois, nobody has ever winked at him to say they were in it together, as suggested by Fleury. He then quips:
"And that there is a point for Hagrid here."
However, this does not help much as Economos makes it clear that he does not want him on his side. Economos isnβt the only character who is given a funny nickname by St. Wild, as the Eagle hunter also repeatedly calls Rip Jagger Chinese even after he lets everyone know he was Vietnamese.
