The first part of Stranger Things season 5 will premiere on November 26, 2025, followed by the second part on Christmas. The series finale will premiere on New Year’s Eve. All of this information was shared during the Netflix Tudum fan event on May 31, 2025, in Los Angeles, where the show's stars also revealed a teaser for the final season.

When will Stranger Things Season 5 premiere? Details explored

As mentioned, during the Netflix Tudum Fan event on May 31, 2025, in Los Angeles, the stars of Stranger Things—Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, and Noah Schnapp—revealed a teaser for the final season. The premiere date of November 26, 2025, was also shared in the same event, along with the news of the show's three-part release.

In January 2025, show creator Ross Duffer spoke to the Hollywood Reporter and shared about the footage they had filmed for the final season of Stranger Things, which might explain why the final season will be released in three parts. He stated:

"We spent a full year filming this season. By the end, we’d captured over 650 hours of footage. So, needless to say, this is our biggest and most ambitious season yet. It’s like eight blockbuster movies. It’s pretty insane."

Furthermore, back in November 2024, Netflix revealed the episode titles for Stranger Things Season 5, censoring a part of the title of the second episode: The Vanishing of [-], which raised curiosity and anticipation for the new season.

As per Deadline, the final season of Stranger Things will also incorporate a slight time jump. The new season will take us to Hawkins in late 1987, while season 4 of the Netflix series began in March 1986.
