Through vivid hallucinations, David relives his first encounter with Masha (then called Mila) in 2001 Prague. They met for the first time in the local news channel's green room when David was smitten by her confidence and asked her out on a date. Eventually, they spend a night together in David's swanky hotel room. However, the revelation that followed was quite shocking. In the next scenario, David saw that Masha gave birth to their daughter, Tatiana, and never informed him about it.
Masha thought that David would not be ready to take responsibility for their daughter, who was born as a result of their casual encounter. As David dived deeper into his memories, he learnt how Masha's attempt to expose a Russian military contractor called Sergei Ivanov led to a tragedy. After years of investigation into Ivanov's dealings, Masha and Tatiana became targets. The retaliation? A hit and run that took Tatiana's life.

The moment is quite raw, emotional, and redemptive as Masha finally forgives him.
