Love Island USA Season 7 Episode 36: Huda asks Chris if he could just be "friends" with her and "be cool"

The recently aired Love Island USA Season 7 episode saw finalist couples going on their final dates. For that, each of the couple received separate text messages about the same. Huda and Chris's date was at night.

The final date between Huda and Chris turned sad after she mentioned she wanted to be "friends" with Chris.

"I think we should just be friends," said Huda.

Listening to Huda's thoughts, Love Island USA star Chris said he would have "no hard feelings." He added that he already knew and that he could tell that Huda would say something like that. He noted that he had been "waiting" for her to say it.

Huda then asked that if they both were to be "friends," if he could "not feel weird' while hanging out with all their "same friends" from the villa.

"If we are friends, obviously, we have the same friends in here. Are you able to hang out and not feel weird? like can we still be funny and cool and everything? and like it's normal?" asked Huda.

While Love Island USA star Chris's honest answer was "no," he added that he won't have any "hatred" towards Huda.

"Right off the bat, I'mma be honest with you, no. But will I have any hatred toward you? No, not at all. But I need to not like you anymore. So if that means I need to separate myself a little bit, I'm gonna do that."

Huda's response to that was "Okay."
