Netflix's latest thriller drama series, No One Saw Us Leave, premiered on October 15, 2025, and quickly gained the attention of viewers. The series follows the story of a mother who looks for her young children, kidnapped by her husband after he learns about her infidelity.
The series is inspired by the true story of Tamara Trottner, which she shared in her memoir. Tamara was one of Valeria Goldberg's children, who were kidnapped by their father, Leo Saltzman. The series presents Tamara's mother's challenging journey of finding her children, who were taken by Leo out of Mexico, and also deals with how she was shunned by her influential Jewish-Mexican community.
Tamara Trottner, who was 5 at the time Leo kidnapped her and her brother. She published her memoir in 2020 and is an author now. As per The Mirror, Trottner is rumored to be married.

The memoir, No One Saw Us Leave, recounts Tamara's experience of being kidnapped by her father. It describes how her childhood was snatched away from her by her father at the young age of 5 years old. From her home, school, to her mother, everything was left behind while she and her brother, Isaac, were travelling around Europe and in the end, Israel.
However, the Netflix series focuses on Tamara's mother's challenges after she finds out about her missing children. While they took inspiration from the memoir to depict the true story of the family. The series begins with showcasing Valeria Goldberg's loveless marriage to Leo Saltzman and her affair.
After learning about her affair, with the suggestion of his parents, Leo takes his children, Isaac and Tamara, abroad, without informing their mother. After finding out about it, Valeria begins her relentless search to find her children and uses help from the Interpol and a former Mossad agent, and a Private Investigator.
No One Saw Us Leave tells the story of the challenges the parents and their children had to go through in a five-part series.
Trontter published her memoir in 2020. As per The Mirror, in 2022, while talking to Chilango, a Mexican Publication, the Trontter, who is now an author, shared the impact of the experience on her identity. She said:
"Today, I always say that I am, not in spite of this story, but thanks to this story I am who I am."
She further shared with Que Leer Libros, on how the two years that they were travelling around the globe shaped their 'perception' of love and childhood, among other things. She stated:
"For two years, we travelled the world... and our perception of life, childhood, love, and security was colored by this experience."
Not much of Trottner's personal life is known, but The Mirror further revealed that she now shares a good relationship with her mother, Valeria. They also further speculated that the author of No One Saw Us Leave might also be married.
