Nobody Wants This dropped its Season 2 and climbed up to the top of the charts once again.

This Netflix romantic comedy series has got everyone talking. The story is about Joanne, played by Kristen Bell. She is a podcaster who talks about relationships and life in general. She hosts the podcast along with her sister, Morgan. Joanne falls in love with a rabbi named Noah, played by Adam Brody. And that becomes the beginning of a bittersweet story.

The show is all about heart and humor with a dash of reality thrown in to make it relatable to its viewers. It's a light hearted watch. But it also touches upon certain themes that would make you ponder. It looks like a typical rom-com on the surface. But there’s faith, culture, and all the differences that come with it. And that's what pushes the story forward.

Kristen Bell is warm and witty in the show. She’s also sarcastic and shown as a flawed individual. That makes her very real and relatable. Nobody Wants This lets Bell play someone who is layered but also lovable. Joanne doesn't try hard to be perfect. She’s just figuring out love and life the best she can. Just like all of us.

Nobody Wants This also explores how two people from completely different worlds can find common ground. Joanne’s journey becomes about acceptance, belief, and identity. And Bell captures all of that with ease. Her chemistry with Adam Brody makes the story even more engaging.

Nobody Wants This gave Kristen Bell that warm and cozy feeling again

Kristen Bell is picky when it comes to selecting her projects. She is careful about the projects she joins. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she shared that she avoids roles that are too dark or emotionally heavy. It can't be "an extremely dark project" as she doesn’t want to take home a story that weighs on her heart.

That’s why Nobody Wants This felt like the perfect match. It had depth, but it also had heart. It was funny, romantic, and hopeful all at once. Bell read through the script and loved it. She shared:

"I felt warm and cozy reading it. That feeling I used to get in high school, when I saw my first rom-com love stories - and yet it felt almost too real in a way that was exciting.”

These kinds of stories make you smile and believe in love. But not in an unrealistic, fairy-tale way. It is very much grounded in reality.

Kristen Bell's words about the script of the show say a lot about the tone of Nobody Wants This. It’s a romantic comedy that brings back the comfort of old-school love stories and still stays relatable for today’s audience. And for Bell, that made it impossible to say no.

More than anything, Bell found the heart of Nobody Wants This refreshing. The series celebrates connection and kindness. It lets people laugh, reflect, and feel at ease.
