The Nobody Wants This Season 2 trailer that was released a month ago heavily featured the song Bite My Tongue, created by singer Cassandra Coleman. In a Bustle interview, the young singer expressed happiness at the popular Netflix rom-com using a song she created. The singer sat down for an interview with Bustle in September, where she discussed the purpose behind the song. According to her, Bite My Tongue was:
“Written from the future looking back — at a younger self who drifted through complacency and consumerism, convinced change was out of reach even when it never was.”
Turns out completing "Bite My Tongue" for Nobody Wants This Season 2 was a challenge:
In the same interview, Coleman revealed how she created the song for the Nobody Wants This Season 2 trailer. Considering both the musical track and the trailer for Nobody Wants This Season 2 were released very close to each other, it is surprising that the young singer and her team were able to come up with a catchy number for the upcoming season.
Cassandra Coleman herself confirmed to Bustle that she was in the middle of a live tour when the makers of Nobody Wants This Season 2 approached her for a song to use. There was a catch to this offer, though:
“Finishing up ‘Bite My Tongue’ felt like trying to tie your shoelaces in a tornado. We were in the middle of a tour and found out we had two days to take the song from demo-land to the finish line if we wanted to land this opportunity. Timelines aren’t usually my way of deeming a project complete, but we decided to accept the challenge.”
The singer further continued:
“What would it look like if we didn’t have the time to second guess intuition? Everyone involved cleared their schedules to make it work, and it was a beautiful team effort. We’re excited to have it out in the world.”
Many believe that Coleman's song fits the theme of the upcoming season, as it might apply to the titular couple's journey in the second season of the popular Netflix rom-com.
Cassandra Coleman's Bite My Tongue is not the only song that you will hear in season 2:

"Season 2 of Nobody Wants This sees Joanne and Noah deep in the honeymoon phase of their new relationship. You know, the phase where if someone wants to make plans with Noah, he says, “I gotta check with the boss.” (The boss is Joanne. Obviously.) And while they have begun to have the difficult conversations around whether agnostic podcaster Joanne will be able to convert to Judaism for her rabbi boyfriend Noah, it appears they might not be on the same page after all."
As of now, all ten episodes of Nobody Wants This Season 1 are available on Netflix. Binge them all before the second season streams on the platform on October 23, 2025.
