"Not my destiny or whatever": Love After Lockup star Michael opens up after his breakup with Joey

Love After Lockup Season 6 Episode 10 aired on May 23, 2025, featuring many key moments. One of the incidents was Michael and Joey's breakup. Two days after Michael's release from prison, he ended his relationship with Joey.

After their breakup, Joey confessed how he felt to the cameras and got emotional. On the other hand, Love After Lockup's Michael went to see his best friend, Spencer.

During their discussion, Michael confessed to the cameras:

"I feel like I don't deserve a good, happy, healthy life, because, you know, it's like the ugly, deathling, growing up to be, you know, some kind of princess. So, it doesn't make any, it doesn't fit the storyline. It's not my destiny or whatever."

He added:

"I can finish the story, but I can't pick up the pen and not, I mean, write it at all. It's already been written."

Love After Lockup: Michael breaks up with Joey, two days after his release from prison

Love After Lockup's Joey and Michael broke up after the latter's release from prison. Fans witnessed what happened after their breakup in the latest episode 10. Joey, a real estate brokerage co-ordinator, was dating Michael, 40, who was released from prison two days ago.

Sharing about their breakup and how things turned out, Joey shared with the cameras:

"Michael said he couldn't do this, okay then. Be done, don't call me, don't talk to me. Forget me then. I don't want to hear what he's got to say, because whatever he's got to say is bulls*it. You've done enough of this?"

Michael was on his way to see his best friend, Spencer. While in his car, Michael shared that it didn't go well and that Joey was pissed. He admitted that he didn't think that it would "go well."

"He (Joey) got sad. He got hurt. It broke his heart. And I don't know how to deal with that. This is a total pattern for me," admitted Michael.

Michael added more and said that he had broken the promise to his closest people, who love him unconditionally. He also confessed that if he were with Joey, then he would also "take him (Joey) down" with him.

After meeting Spencer, Love After Lockup's Michael shared that he didn't want to be in any relationship right now.

Joey, in his private confessional, shared that he thought Michael cared for him. However, he mentioned Michael getting messages from "his buddy" Spencer. With tears in his eyes, Joey said that he had "envisioned" a lot of things.

He said that he had his "whole life" prepared. But he had no clue that such a thing would happen, and that he was still in shock.
