Oh My Ghost Clients Episode 7 recap: Mu-jin meets Yoon-jae in the hospital

Mu-jin has always met Yoon-jae in the department store, so he was surprised to see Yoon-jae in the hospital in episode 7 of Oh My Ghost Clients. But his surprise turned into shock when he noticed that Yoon-jae might yet be alive, and it was his spirit that he was talking to.

Before he could ask about much, Yoon-jae disappeared, leaving Mu-jin to call out his name. This gets Yoon-jae’s sister’s attention. She then tells him about Yoon-jae’s condition and informs him that he had fainted while working in a supermarket, making Mu-jin confused as he remembers Yoon-jae telling him he had landed a job, but he has no idea how he ended up in a supermarket again.

He tells Gyeon-u and Hui-joo about it, who are also in the hospital after suffering from food poisoning during their mukbang. Gyeon-u informs the others that he had read an article about the company, where Yoon-jae got hired, which had revoked all of their job appointments for the new hires; therefore, this might have forced him to go back to a supermarket job, and he took a job in RioMart.

Oh My Ghost Clients Episode 7 recap: The trio begins their investigation

To find out why Yoon-jae passed out during his job, they went to RioMart in this episode of Oh My Ghost Clients. They talked to one of his co-workers who had found him passed out and called for help. They are shocked to learn that Yoon-jae’s job was to pull the shopping carts, and not just one but several of them, weighing a lot.

When they asked for CCTV footage of the three days before Yoon-jae passed out, they were refused, as the supermarket was an American company and they do not allow anyone to see the footage for security reasons. Gyeon-u is then tasked to email the head office of Korea to talk to them about the issue. However, they don’t get a reply.

The trio tries to contact Bodhisattva, a.k.a. Bo-sal, to ask for help with different and funny methods but lastly resorts to physically knocking Mu-jin out, who then meets Bo-sal, who refuses to help and tells him to figure this out himself. He has to maintain the perfect work-life balance and sends Mu-jin back.

They then resort to what they have become a pro at—sending Gyeon-u undercover. This time, Gyeon-u decides to go himself while Hui-joo records everything. They make a convincing video, accounting for how physically straining the job was for Yoon-jae, especially in sweltering heat. They also discovered and reported on Gyeon-u’s channel, Gyeonjjang TV, that the workers are not provided with drinking water, and the available water is placed far away from where they work.

With just a 15-minute break, they ended up skipping drinking water, as then they would have to go to the bathroom, and that would mean their break had ended, as bathrooms were far away as well. However, their hopes are crushed when people try to blame Yoon-jae for being too fragile or having some medical condition already, which might have resulted in his condition.

Oh My Ghost Clients Episode 7 recap: Mu-jin takes Yoon-jae for a surprise trip

After reading the comments, Mu-jin and the others visit Yoon-jae’s apartment to look for the medical report from his job hiring and discover that he was perfectly healthy, which might help their case further. But the problem arises when Yoon-jae doesn’t want to come back. He tells Mu-jin that he is tired of working hard with no visible results, so it might be better if he just dies, as he doesn’t want to go back to his previous life.

A hopeful situation arises in this episode of Oh My Ghost Clients when Yoon-jae’s previous boss from his part-time job in a gas station approaches them to give an interview on how Yoon-jae was a good employee, and all the nasty comments about him are false. Hui-joo and Gyeon-u go to meet the gas station owner and interview him while Mu-jin takes Yoon-jae for a surprise trip to the beach, where Yoon-jae wanted to go.

The trip is successful, as Yoon-jae seems happy and decides to study to become a labor attorney so that he can work with Mu-jin when he opens his own law firm. He tells him he doesn’t have to go back to his previous life and begin studying to become an attorney. Elsewhere, while Hui-joo and Gyeon-u interview Yoon-jae’s former boss, positive comments from the people who have worked with Yoon-jae start pouring in.

In the hospital, when Yoon-jae sees his sister telling him about how so many people are cheering for him to get well soon, it makes him emotional, and he comes back to his body. Yoon-jae later joins the trio for Mu-jin’s treat of fried chicken and beer, as he had promised him earlier.

Other than solving Yoon-jae’s problem, Oh My Ghost Clients episode 7 also had another pivotal moment as Hui-joo and Gyeon-u have now become a couple.
