Netflix’s Olympo is the new sports drama that depicts an intriguing tale of deception and ambition.
It tells the story of Amaia, played by Clara Galle, who discovers that some of her fellow swimmers in the Pirineos High Performance Center have resorted to taking performance-enhancing drugs to improve their performance and win, and get a sponsorship with Olympo, a clothing brand.
Amaia, with several others, tries to expose the use of drugs by athletes, but it isn’t as simple as it looks since there are many people, including Olympo is involved in providing drugs to the athletes. Since the show is produced in Spain, it has impressed the viewers with the compelling story, but also with the aesthetic scenes that it incorporated into the show. Olympo used the scenic locations of Madrid and Huesca in Spain.
Let’s take a look at the filming locations of Olympo.
Olympo filming locations
1) Estadio Municipal Santo Domingo, Alcorcòn, Madrid

Filming in Madrid and not using a football stadium would have been odd for a sports drama, so in Olympo, the scene that we saw of athletes in action was shot in Estadio Municipal Santo Domingo. The stadium was used in the Netflix series for scenes that showed athletic activities or other activities involving the teams.
You can also catch a small glimpse of the stadium in Olympo’s trailer, and you will immediately recognise it as the stadium is a huge arena that can accommodate more than 5000 people and is the home ground of the Spanish football club, Agrupación Deportiva Alcorcón.
2) Panticosa, Huesca, Spain

Known for its pure mountain waters, Panticosa was once a famous spa town in Spain. The place was used by Olympo to film the outdoor scenes and is easily recognizable as the backdrop of mountains and terrains of Panticos made the scenes more aesthetically beautiful.
While it might have gained popularity for being a spa town, the place will again rise to its fame as the World Paragliding Championships will be organized in this very hilly region of Spain in 2027.
3) Madrid, Spain
It would have been impossible for a sports drama based in Spain not to use the most popular place known for its sports, mainly football. By filming several outdoor/indoor scenes, Madrid was one of the main locations of Olympo's filming.
Since the show is based in Spain, Madrid provided the perfect backdrop with its sports culture and also locations, including sports institutions that added to the storytelling of these young swimmers trying to make their name and achieve their goals.
When was Olympo filmed?
The filming of Olympo took place between August 5, 2024, and December 14, 2024.
The Netflix series showed how young athletes can be deceived by the more powerful people who indirectly control their performance in making them either winners or even destroying them. Since they just want to focus on their goals, they are lured into using means that destroy their career in the long run, as it happened with Roque Pérez when he realised how harmful the drugs he was given were.
Other than Clara Galle, Olympo also stars Agustín Della Corte, María Romanillos, Nuno Gallego, Nira Osahia, and Nicolás Furtado, among others.
